Unit 1 What do you suggest?

一、教学内容: 本课是《新标准英语》(三年级起点)第六册第八模块第一单元的内容。Daming要到美国去,他准备送一份礼物给表弟,打电话向Sam征求意见,最后商定送一个中国龙风筝。通过Daming和Sam的讨论,学习如何征求意见和建议。 二、教学目标 (一)知识目标 1、能听懂、会说、运用重点单词:suggest,了解背景单词 quickly, excited, Chinese, kind,America。 2、学会征求建议:What do you suggest? 学会表达建议:What about…?How about…? Why don’t you…? 能根据实际情况表达自己的观点:That’s a good idea. That’s great! I agree, thank you. (二)能力目标: 1、学会如何给别人提建议; 2、通过创设情景,综合运用所学语言进行交流,培养学生在实际生活中综合运用语言的交际能力和对语言的应变能力。 (三)情感目标 教育学生在讨论中积极参与,主动请教,培养合作意识;在比赛中乐于模仿,敢于开口,培养公平竞争的态度及创新精神。 三、教学重点 掌握并运用本课重点句型What do you suggest? 能口头运用 What about…? 六、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up 1. Greetings T:Good afternoon, boys and girls! I’m Miss Miao. S: Good afternoon, Miss Miao! T: How are you? S: I’m fine, thank you, and how are you? T:I’m fine, too. Nice to meet you. 2. Show some pictures. T: Today I take some presents for you. They are……. a football a T-shirt a book a bag chopsticks a kite→a dragon kite Step 2 Lead-in (PPT) 1. T: Look,this is my cousin, Jack. He lives in America. I’m going to go to America in this summer, so I’m very excited. But I want to take a present for Jack. What do you suggest? →老师先利用单词卡片反复教读该单词,再带领学生读该句子 T: Now I ask and you answer. What do you suggest? S: …… T: You can say “What about …?”板书该句子并带读 T: But he’s got a … T: What do you suggest? S: …… T: You can say “How about …?”板书该句子并带读 T: That’s a good idea. T: What do you suggest? S: …… T: You can say “Why don’t you give him …?”板书该句子并带读 T: Well, what kind of …? S: …… T: I agree. Thank you. 2. Read these four sentences together. 3. Pair-work T: Tomorrow is Miss Xu’s birthday. You should take a present for her.教师示范后,每组四人(一人问,三人答)练习重点句型。 Step 3 Text-teaching 1. Tell a short story. T: Do you know our friends Daming and Sam? S: Yes. 课件出示本课主人公,引导说:This is Daming , this is Sam, and this is Ms. Smart. 人名空出来让学生说。出示Daming打电话的图片老师说:Now, Daming is on the phone for Sam. 看着课件图片边做动作边引导学生明白on the phone 的意思(这里稍微读一下这个短语就行,并一起说一遍Daming is on the phone for Sam.)。 2. First Listening (教师引导学生回答) T: Listen to the story and answer: Where is Daming going to go? T: Daming is going to go to America.So he is very excited. T: What will Daming take for his cousin? S: He wants to take a dragon kite for his cousin. 3. Second Listening T: Listen again and find “What does Sam suggest?” 老师出示课件,请学生听并选出答案→抽生回答→老师给出正确答案(a dragon kite , chopsticks) 4. Books open (1) Listen and repeat (2) Listen and repeat again 让学生看课件注意红色的单词quickly , excited , America , suggest , Chinese ,dragon。读完后,红色单词消失,小组内读完成对话,最后全班齐读一遍。 Step 4 Practice 让学生看课件选择答案→抽生答→老师评讲 Step 5 Activity (PPT) 以“家有儿女要来学校”为情景,让学生通过角色扮演,运用所学句型提建议。 T: Look, who are they? S: They are Xia Donghai, Liuxing, Xiaxue and Xiayu. T: They are going to go to our school. They want to give a present for the pupils. 引导学生在小组分别扮演夏东海、夏雨、夏雪、刘星,用所学句型询问和给出建议,老师通过PPT做示范: T: I want to take a present for the pupils. What do you suggest? S1: What about a book? T: They have got a book. S2: Why don’t you give them a ball? T: That’s a good idea. What kind of ball? S3: How about a football? T: Yes, I agree. Thank you. 老师示范结束,学生在四人小组完成对话,老师在学生小组活动的时候,随时指导一下对知识还不熟悉的个别学生,最后小组展示。 五. Judgement 六.Homework 1. Why don’t you give him a kite? → That’s a good idea. How about a dragon kite? → Yes, I agree. Thank you. 八.教学反思 本课教学重点是询问及向对方提出意见,目标句型有4个:What do you suggest? Why don’t you……? How about……? What about……?本课的学习内容比较贴近学生的实际生活,所以在教学过程中我尽可能让学生既联系自己的生活,又能将新语言知识用于解决实际问题。本课我利用了大量的图片引出新单词的学习,孩子们对图片感兴趣,故新词的接受较快。在目标句型的教授环节,我通过一些简单的设问,激发孩子们的爱心,帮我出注意。通过反复的引导,学生们大都能够运用所学的新知识提出各种建议,课堂气氛很热烈,体现出了“学以致用”。 但本课也存在一些不足:有些学生的注意力不是很集中,对英语缺乏兴趣和信心。因是借班上课,情感调动也不够,所以学生和教师之间的互动还不是很好。在最后的表演环节,因时间把握的不是很好,所以游戏进行的很仓促,这些问题还需在日后的教育教学中不断改进。
