Unit 8 Big bird!
教学目标：
知识目标：
1. 词汇：
1) 能够理解单词的意思：beautiful, forest.
2) 能够正确地听，说，认读单词：tree, peacock, turtle.
3) 能够正确地听说读写描述人或事物外部特征的主要词汇：old, young, big, small, short, tall,
good, bad.
2. 句型：
He/she is… He /she is not…
技能目标：
1. 能够简单描述人活动物的特征。
2. 能过通过阅读理解本单元故事内容。
情感目标：
1. 通过课文的学习，增加学生对动物的外部特征的认识。培养学生爱护小动物，热爱大自
然等保护意识。
2. 通过学习Mocky因淘气做错事但敢于承认错误并改正错误的情节，培养学生勇于承认错
误的意识和品质。
3. 通过多样性的活动，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，让学生感受到学习的快乐。
4. 通过小组活动，培养学生在合作中学习的能力。
教学重难点：
掌握四组反义词，并能熟练的将这四组反义词运用到新学的句子中去。
教具过程：
Step 1 Warming-up
Let students listen a song and then try to sing this song.
通过歌曲活跃课堂气氛，引出课文中的句型。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Show the picture and teach new words (forest, tree, peacock, beautiful) and review sentence
(this is…).

Quickly ask and answer.
Let students make sentences.
通过观察图片学习新单词，激发学生的学习兴趣。
2. Let students clap hands and chant.
Let students do group work.
通过动手动嘴相结合的方式使学生对新单词加深印象。
3. Show pictures, and teach 4 pairs of antonym and new sentences.
Review these antonyms:
I say big you say small…
通过学生自己对比图片不同之处，学习反义词。并通过快问快答的方式加深新知识的印象。
4. Ask students play game and teach them a new word “happy”.
通过游戏再次加深学生对新单词的印象。并在游戏中学习学习一个新单词“happy”。
5. Teach a new sentence and review the former knowledge.
Show 4 pictures and let students do group work.
Teach a new sentence “You’re welcome.”
通过两人一组的合作学习，培养学生合作学习的能力。
6. Teach students the story.
Read story with students.
Let students read the story.

Step 3 Production
1. Ask some students stand up and read the story.
通过让学生读课文，了解学生对本课知识的掌握情况。
2. Play game.
