Broken Eggs

Childhood is one of the most beautiful times in one’s life. Many pictures appear before my

eyes as the time I read this word. Among these, the picture which contains many broken eggs

impresses me most.

It was a hot afternoon, in an abandoned bus station, I was learning to ride my children bike

alone. I was6 and I was trying my best to keep my feet away from the ground together. There

was nobody in the station but an old woman who was selling eggs held in a big washbasin. My

parents didn’t worry about me, because they were sitting in our store across the station, and I,

was in their sight.

After some minutes, my efforts worked. I could ride successfully without my father pulling

behind me! I was so excited. However, before I called my father to watch my success, something

unlucky happened. I bumped against the washbasin, and all the eggs spilled on the ground. I

fell from the bike. My mother ran to me at once when she heard my crying. I was so scared; I

knew I did something terrible. But my mother didn’t blame me. She held me up, and then, paid

all the eggs! I still remembered clearly, those eggs appeared on our table at meal time for many

days!

From then on, every time I did something wrong or troubled somebody, I would recollect

those broken eggs. Although my mother said nothing to me at that time, I did have learned a

precious lesson: We must take the responsibility for what we have done, whatever the price is.
