It is said that tea was first discovered in the tropical and sub-tropical climate zone in the southwestern part of China, where primeval forests prevailed and the warm and moist setting was favorable for the growth of tea.

the first to discover tea .
World influence
Tea from China, along with her silk and porcelain, began to be known the world over more than a thousand years ago and has since always been an important Chinese export.
The origin
•Chinese tea was primarily used as a medicine before the 8th century B.C. •During the Spring and Autumn Period, Chinese people chewed tea leaves and enjoyed the taste of the juice itself. •During the Qin and Han dynasties , simple processing of Chinese tea emerged.
•In Tang Dynasty , the art of Chinese tea started to take shape.
•Tea became popular in Tang and prospered in Song .
•From the Ming Dynasty , Chinese tea completed the process of moving from boiling to brewing. Specialty tea tools like Yixing teapots became popular.
•After Ming, numerous types of Chinese teas were introduced. The famous Kungfu Tea was one of the landmarks in the development of Chinese tea brewing.

Chinese tea classifications
Green Tea is the most natural of all Chinese tea classes. It's picked, natural dried, and then fried briefly to get rid of it's grassy smell. Green Tea has the most medical value and the least caffeine content of all Chinese tea classes. Chinese Black tea produces a full-bodies amber when brewed. Black tea undergoes withering (drying), left to ferment for a long while, and then roasted. Black tea has a robost taste with a mild aroma. It contains the highest amount of caffeine in Chinese tea classes.

Flower Tea is a simple
concept that dried flowers are used, without much processing, to make tea. Scented Tea uses green tea, red tea as base and mix with scent of flowers. Chinese Flower Tea has light to medium flavor and medium to strong aroma.
Most Chinese Compressed Tea uses Black Tea as base tea. It's steamed and compressed into bricks, or other shapes. Compressed Tea has all the characteristics of Black Tea. It can be stored for years and decades.

Junshan Silver Needle (君山银针): Produced at Qingluo Island on Dongting Lake. <黄茶>
Biluochun(碧螺春): Produced at Wu County, Jiangsu. <l 绿茶>
Qimen Black Tea (祁门红茶): Produced at Qimen County in Anhui.<红茶>
Liuan Guapian(六安瓜片): Produced at Liuan County in Henan. <绿茶>
Xinyang Maojian(信阳毛尖): Produced at Xinyang, Henan. <绿茶>
Duyun Maojian(都匀毛尖): Produced at Duyun Mountain, Guizhou. <绿茶>
Wuyi Rock Tea(武夷岩茶): Produced at Wuyi Mountain, Fujian. <乌龙茶>
Tieguanyin(铁观音): Produced at Anxi County, Fujian. <青茶>
选茶
茶叶有寒凉、温和性之分,因人而异选择茶叶饮用。

1.绿茶属性凉而微寒,味略苦,但它的营养成分较之其它茶类高,适合胃热者饮用。

2.乌龙茶不寒不热,辛凉甘润,是一种中性茶,适合大多数人饮用。

3.白茶温凉、平缓、味甘甜,适合中老年人饮用。

4.黄茶性凉微寒,胃热者适合饮用。

5.普洱茶温醇平和,男女老少皆宜。

6.花茶温凉,沁人心腑,益脾安神,芳香开窍解郁闷,宜早晚饮用。

7.苦丁茶寒凉,可解热毒去肝火,治咽喉炎、便秘、降血压、减肥除腻,宜对症饮用。

Tea brewing method (茶叶的冲泡方法)
泡茶要用好水:泉水为上,江河水一般,井水为下,城市自来水氯气大,需静置24小时去氯气,然后再用为好。

泡茶时茶与水的用量:
一般红绿茶为1:50~80,粗茶、普洱茶用量可多一些。

乌龙茶为1:22~25为宜。

泡茶水温、红、绿花茶以95℃开水为宜,高级细嫩名优茶以85~90℃为上,乌龙茶、花茶2~3分钟,随泡随饮。

至于冲泡次数,高档茶2~3次,一般茶冲泡2~4次,苦丁茶可冲4~5次,甚至10余次。
