一． The analysis of the lesson

1. Master the words “July”, “August”,

“September”, “October”, “November” and

“December”.

2. Say out the sentence patterns “When is … It’s

in …”

二． The analysis of pupils

1. Pupils are quite active so a lot of English games

are considered.

2. Pupils are very interested by using the multi-media.

三． Teaching period: 40 minutes.

四． Teaching objectives

1. Knowledge objectives

(1) Let Ss hear, read and use the words “July”,

“August”, “September”, “October”, “November”

and “December”.

(2) Enable pupils to say out the sentence patterns.

2. Ability objectives

(1) Enable the Ss to use the words “July”, “August”,

“September”, “October”, “November” and “December”.

(2) Let Ss use the sentence patterns to express their

thoughts in the proper scene.

3. Emotion objectives

(1) Increase the Ss’ interests and set up

self-confidence in language study by playing English

games.

(2) Cultivate pupils’ ability of cooperation and

competition.

五． Teaching focus & difficulty

1. Focus

(1) Study and initially master the words “July”,

“August”, “September”, “October”, “November”

and “December”.

(2) Teach the Ss how to study independently as well as

by cooperation.

2. Difficulty

(1) The correct pronunciation of the word “October”.

(2) Use the sentence patterns skillfully.

(1) Word cards and pictures.

(2) The tape recorder and the tape. (3) PPT and the video.

七. Teaching procedures

Step 1. Warm-up

1. Greet Ss as usual.

T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Ss: Good morning, Miss Wang.

T: How are you

Ss: I’m fine, thank you. How are you

T: Very well, thanks.

2. Let Ss sing the song “The twelve months”.

Step 2. Revision

1. Play a game: Crouch down.

(1)Let six students on behalf of six months.

(2)Send the instruction: July, July, sit down.

(3)The student on behalf of July does squats and says

one sentence.

2. Play a game: Read quickly

Step 3. Presentation

1. Teach “’s try”

(1)Play the tape about this part.

T: What will Oliver have

(2)Let Ss listen and tick. 2. Teach “’s talk”

(1)Talk about the favourite season.

T: I like spring best. Which season do you like best

S1: I like summer best.

T: Do you know which season Oliver and Chen Jie like

best Well, let’s learn “’s talk”.

(2)Show Ss the picture

T: What can you see in the picture

Ss: I see Oliver and Chen Jie.

3. Play the tape about “’s talk”.

(1) Ask Ss to answer two questions.

Q1: When is the school trip

Q2: Where will they go

(2) Guide Ss to answer the above questions.

4. Role-play.

(1)Let Ss work in pairs.

(2)Let one student be Oliver, and the other student be

Chen Jie.

Step 4. Practice

1. An activity: When is your birthday

(1) Let Ss work in a group of twelve.

(2) Ask Ss the question “When is …’s birthday” (3) Guide Ss to answer.

S1: It’s in January.

S2: You are wrong. It’s not in January. It’s in

February.

S3: You are wrong. It’s not in February. It’s in

March.

2. An activity: Lucky match.

(1) Prepare two pieces of paper, one about months, and

the other about weather.

(2) Let one student take out a piece of paper from each

box.

(3) Say out the sentence.

Step 5. Consolidation and sum-up

1. Get pupils to do some consolidation exercises.

Teacher goes around and gives some help to them.

2. Give students a chance to sum up what have learned

in the lesson. (Students can have a free talk.) Then

the teacher gives a brief summary.

Step 6. Homework

1. Read the dialog after the tape. 2. Preview Part C.

3. Finish the relevant exercises.

人教版 PEP小学英语五年级下册教案（全册） 一、学生情况分析 学生已学过两年多的英语，已有一定的基础。但是教材难度偏大，教学内容与课时不成比例，两极分化较严重。因此，本学期应注重转化后进生，因材施教，基础教学，分层教学，保持学生的学习兴趣。

二、教学目的与要求：

1、激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养他们学习英语的积极态度，使他们初步建立学习英语的自信心。

2、培养学生具有一定的语感和良好的语音、语调、书写基础，以及良好的学习习惯。

3、使他们初步具备用英语进行简单日常交流的能力。

4、培养学生的观察、记忆、思维 、想象和创造能力。

5、适当介绍中西方文化，培养学生的爱国主义精神，增强世界意识，为学生的进一步学习奠定良好的基础。

三、教学内容与目标：

1、能听、说、读、写 81个短语和单词以及 16组句子和

11个单句。 第 2 页 共 23 页 2、能听、说、认读 21个单词。

3、能听懂、会唱 8首歌曲。

4、能完成 6个自我评价活动。

5、能理解 6个幽默小故事。

6、能了解 6项简单的中西方文化知识。

四、教学措施：

1、认真备课，钻研教材，抓紧课堂教学，做到当堂内容当堂掌握。

2、运用各种不同的肢体语言来辅助教学。

3、在课堂上多开展一些有趣的活动 、游戏让学生在活动中学习英语，在生活中学习英语。

4、多为学生营造一引起学习氛围，如：

创设英语角等等。

5、要求学生在课余时间尽量的运用已经学习的英语进行对话。

6、多看英语画报，多读英语故事，多看英语书籍。

7、多与学生交流，进行口语交际训练。

五、学困生教学措施 1、了解学困生心理，建立师生感情。

2、尊重、理解、宽容、善待学困生。

第一课时

教学重点：

Let’s learn中的动词短语：eat breakfast，do morning exercises，have English class，play sports，eat dinner。句型：When do you do ...？I usually...at...。

教学难点：

单词exercises和usually的发音较难掌握：exercises可以让学生分音节由慢到快的模仿发音；usually先让学生着重练习/V/的音，再完成整个单词的发音。

课前准备：

调查表的复印材料。

动词短语eat breakfast，do morning exercises，have English class，play sports，eat dinner的图片(下面标有相应的英文)。

录音材料：Let’s start，Let’s learn，Let’s chant，五年级上册第二单元B部分歌谣。

教学过程：

Warm up (热身)

活动一猜时间

教学参考时间：2-3分钟

教师在黑板上画一个大钟表的图，不要画上时针和分针，自己站在前面，张开手臂演示一个时间，注意演示时将一直手臂缩短一些表示时针，然后提问：What time is it？引导学生用It’s...回答。

请几名同学进行演示，其他同学说出相应的时间。

Review(复习)

活动二复习短语

教学参考时间：5分钟教师播放五年级上册第二单元B部分歌谣课件，学生一起说唱。

教师提问：What do you do on Saturdays？引导学生说出学过的动词短语。

出示Let’s start部分插图，请学生分别说出图中示意的短语(可以不按顺序)，当一名同学说到一个短语时，其他同学要指向相应的图。

教师播放Let’s start部分录音，引导学生根据听到的内容在相应的图下写出自己做这件事的时间。

引导学生理解When do you...?的意思。
