1 Unit 4 what would you do?

I. Analysis of the Teaching Material

1. Status and Function

In this unit students learn to talk about imaginary situations. Such topic enables students to activate

their imagination and raises learning interest of students.

All the students are active in such activities.

(1) The first period introduces the key vocabulary words and the target language in this unit. The

topic, what would you do if you had a lot of money, makes the introduction easier.

(2) In the second period, students will learn to give advice to someone who is in an embarrasing

situation by listening and pairwork activities with the target language.

(3)All the activities in the third period are designed to give students a rein

forced practice in the use of the target language.

(4)In the fourth period, the first part is a vocabulary expansion activity. The other activities provide

一、 教材分析

本节课是本单元的一节语法课。处于单元的中间位置，对整个单元起承上启下的作用。

二、学情分析

针对“usedto”这个结构的学习，初二就接触过一些，应该不太陌生。但是初三学生比较老气。怎样最大限度地调动学生的积极性，是我本堂课的挑战。

三、教学目标：

1.知识目标：

教会学生掌握词汇European，African，British，speech，public，inpublic。

2. 能力目标

教会学生正确使用“usedto”结构谈论自己及他人在外貌、性格、兴趣爱好及生活等方面的变化。

3. 情感目标：

指导学生能通过学习，培养自己遇到困难不放弃的心态

四、教学重难点

1.教学重点：学会使用“usedto”结构谈论过去与现在的对比变化。

2.教学难点：掌握“usedto”结构的用法。
