Knowledge objects:

1. Enable the students to remember the following words and phrases:

Southeast, wonderful, holiday, quarter, population, simply, Putonghua, fear,

brave,excellent, India, Night Safari, dark, daytime, wake up, fox, natural,

environment, temperature, all year round, equatoe, whenever,spring, autumn,

season, type, awake

2. Get the students to be familiar with these sentence patterns:

Singapore is a wonderful place to take a holiday.

It’s better to see lions and foxes during the night.

You can choose to go whenever you like- spring, summer, autumn, or winter!

3. Help the students to know about Singapore.

Ability objects:

1. Improve the students’ comprehensive ability of using English.

2. Enable the students to use the words, phrases and sentences patterns to describe

a place.

3. Learn to remember things better by taking time to reflect.

1. Enjoy the beautiful places

2. Learn to protect the environment of our hometown

1. Know more about the English-speaking country better

2. To be interested in knowing about the culture of foreign countries

Teaching difficulties:

1. Key phrases:take a holiday, on the other hand,have problems doing sth, during

the daytimg, three quarters ,all year round

2. Write about our hometown using the words,and sentence patters we learned

Teaching steps:

Step 1 Lead-in

1. Ask the students : What do you wnt to know about a country before you visit a

foreign country.

2. Read the title of reading material and predict what we will read in the passage.

Step 2 While- reading

1. Find the information to these topics:

Location, people, language

2. Read Paragraph 2 and know about the food in Singapore

3. Talk about special things in Night Safari.

4. Read Paragraph 2 and know about the weather in Singapore

Step 3 After-reading

1. Correct the statements below using the information from the reading

2. Ask:What are the most interesting things you remember after reading and

introduce it/ them

一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

掌握如何表达现在完成时，并能运用Have you ever been to an amusement park? Has he ever been to

an amusement park? 的句式进行提问和应答。

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

能用英语谈论过去的经历，谈论你曾经去过某地。

二、教学重点：

（1）掌握本课的生词、短语和本课所出现的日常交际用语。

（2）掌握有关于“某人曾经去过某地”的交际用语：

Have you ever been to an amusement park? Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t.

Has he ever been to an amusement park? Yes, he has. / No, he hasn’t.

三、教学难点：

（1）熟练掌握和灵活运用现在完成时来描述某人曾经去过某地。

（2）能区别现在完成时和一般过去时在表达过去经历的不同。

Play the song “If you are happy, please clap your hands. （播放一首“幸福拍手歌”，让学生跟着一起唱，老师赶紧因势引导，问全班同学：）

Step 1 导入 春暖花开，询问学生是否有出行计划你都想去哪些地方呢那么我们来看一看图片里的两个同学都在讨论哪些地方吧！ 把学生从谈论自己喜欢的地方引入到图片中，为本节课话题做铺垫。

Step 2 进入话题 教师给出教材图片，让学生仔细观察并讨论这些地点。 引导学生在听力前仔细观察图片所给信息，做出判断，为听力做好准备。

Step 3 展开听力活动一 1. 让学生听文本内容，勾画出所提及的地点。

2. 听文本，回答问题。

3. 看动画，跟读并模仿。 通过听力内容，初步输入funplaces话题下的现在完成时使用。

Step 4 听力活动二 1. 听前展示地图，让学生仔细观察，并说出地图上的主要地点。

2. 听文本，圈出所提及的地点。 引导学生在听力前对于已知信息的捕捉和内化，并学会如何获取细节信息。初步使用现在完成时和一般过3. 二听文本获取细节信息。

4. 对判断正误的错误信息给予更正，并口头表转述完整句子。 去时配合叙述过去经历。

Step 5 听读活动三 1. 让学生在阅读对话前先读懂问题，带着问题跟音频模仿朗读对话。

2. 回答问题。

3. 观看视频并模仿，进行角色扮演。

4. 根据对话内容，以补全信息的形式口头转述两位同学周末的经历。 引导学生模仿朗读，并培养学生带着问题去阅读和听，使学生进一步尝试使用过去完成时态进行口头输出，从句子到小段落。

Step6 听力活动四 1. 首先由先前的听力话题讨论过的博物馆公园等转而问学生是否还去过除这些地方以外的有趣的地方呢过渡到名胜古迹。
