with my home life is exciting. You can like a place where you could get down to business,

but also surf in the web, listen to music, play a video game and basically just be myself.

【摘要】随着英语教学模式的日新月异，远程教育中更是以现代信息技术为支撑，运用“互联网+”时代的各种网络技术手段，使远程在线英语学习逐步拜托了时间、空间的限制，进一步凸显了以自主探究学习模式为主的个性化学习优势。本文主要面向英语学科教师，介绍了MOOC《媒体辅助英语教学》中的一款免费的交互式英语练习制作软件Hot Potatoes，是英语教师在网络环境下教学的好帮手。

MOOC（媒体辅助英语教学）是一门非常实用的实践操作类课程，它以英语学习的核心要素（语法、词汇、听、说、读、写、译）为主线，旨在帮助广大英语学习者了解媒体辅助英语教学的基本原理，熟悉适合学生英语学习的课件制作常规步骤及注意事项，掌握使用多媒体创作工具来制作多媒体作品的方法。侧重如何利用几个简单实用的软件（云应用），如Ispring

Suite，Hot Potatoes，Voice Thread和Pb works，对文本、声音、图像和视频等多种媒体的综合运用，制作出能够激发学生英语学习兴趣的课件，提高媒体辅助英语教学的能力。这些软件对非英语学科兼容性也较强，在提高辅助教学的课件制作能力的同时，有助于发展“交际技巧和基于内容的专业英语学习”能力。该课程曾被评为国家开放大学精品在线开放课程，并获最佳实践创新奖。本文以Hot Potatoes软件为例，详细阐述其在国家开放大学远程在线课程《理工英语4》英语形考试题制作中的广泛应用及突出作用。
