The effects of the Internet on our lives

Step1 Greeting.

Step2 Lead-in

Show a piture and ask about what information they can get from

the picture?

We can know that the 7th China Internet Security Conference was

held in 2019.The promotion information was shown on the big

screen at Time Square.We can also know that the security of the

Internet has attracted wide attention.

Now,there is a question for you.What can we do on the

Internet?( Searching for information,Keeping in touch

with…\chat online,Helping with our studies, Shopping online，Playing games，Downloading music and movies)

Now we have talked about so many functions of the

Internet,let’s take a look at the article.

Step3 Reading Strategy

Please look at the title,we know that the effects include good

effects and bad effects,and we also know it’s an argument

article.What should we pay attention to when reading an

argument article.Then show them the reading strategy.

Step 4 Fast Reading

Skim the passage and try to answer the following questions.

1. What does the two students talk about?

2. Who are the two debaters? Then do some choice questions.

Step 5 Careful Reading

Find the points ,supporting facts and conclusion of the two

debaters,then ask five students to write their answers on the

blackboard.If someone has different ideas ,they can make some

supplements.Finally,check the answers together.

Step 6 Discussion

What do you think of the Internet?

After they share their opinions，I will share my opinion.

( As far as I am concerned,the Internet has many good effects

on our lives. At the begining of 2020，we had gone through a

serious epidemic,the Internet played a very important role in

controlling of it.We can know whether we had contact with the

infected or not just by showing the health QR code.Because of

the outbreak of the COVID-19,we also had a special

experience.We took online courses at home.Perhaps the students

needn’t go to school just study at home in the future. What’s

more,with the rapid developmemt of the Internet,more and

more people are getting used to shopping online.It’s so

convenient .

In conclusion,it can bring lots of benefits to us if we

make the most of the Internet.)
