DS3662QuadHighSpeedTrapezoidal™BusTransceiver

GeneralDescriptionTheDS3662isaquadhighspeedSchottkybustransceiverintendedforusewithterminated120Ωimpedancelines.Itisspecificallydesignedtoreducenoiseinunbalancedtrans-missionsystems.Theopencollectordriversgeneratepre-cisetrapezoidalwaveformswithriseandfalltimesof15ns(typical),whicharerelativelyindependentofcapacitiveload-ingconditionsontheoutputs.Thisreducesnoisecouplingtotheadjacentlineswithoutanyappreciableimpactonthemaximumdatarateobtainablewithhighspeedbustrans-ceivers.Inaddition,thereceiversusealowpassfilterincon-junctionwithahighspeedcomparator,tofurtherenhancethenoiseimmunity.Tightlycontrolledthresholdlevelsonthereceiverprovideequalrejectiontobothnegativeandpositivegoingnoisepulsesonthebus.Theexternalterminationisintendedtobea180Ωresistorfromthebusto5Vlogicsupply,togetherwitha390Ωresistorfromthebustoground.Thebuscanbeterminatedatoneorbothends.AtwoinputNORgateisprovidedtodisablealldriversinapackagesimultaneously.FeaturesnPintopinfunctionalreplacementforDS8641nGuaranteedACspecificationsonnoiseimmunityandpropagationdelayoverthespecifiedtemperatureandsupplyvoltagerangenTemperatureinsensitivereceiverthresholdstrackbuslogiclevelnTrapezoidalbuswaveformsreducenoisecouplingtoadjacentlinesnPrecisionreceiverthresholdsprovidemaximumnoiseimmunityandsymmetricalresponsetopositiveandnegativegoingpulsesnOpencollectordriveroutputallowswire-ORconnectionnHighspeedSchottkytechnologyn15µAtypicalbusterminationcurrentwithnormalVCCor
