Unit one The first period Objectives: 1.To introduce the vocabulary of relationships. 2.To develop reading skills. 3.To develop creative skills. Procession: 一、Warming up. 1.Free talk. 2.Encourge pupils to say the words of relationships. 二、Pre-task 1.Let pupils look at Janet’s family tree. 2.Talk about the family tree . 3.Let pupils talk about the relationship in group. 4.Encourage pupils to read the dialogue silently as they look at the pictures. 5.When pupils read the dialogue try to act it in different voice when pupils act the dialogue the first time let them read it aloud . On the second time encourage them to try to do it by looking at the pictures but not the words. 三、Practise: 2
1.Let pupils act the dialogues by reading out the words. 2.Then let them come up to the platform to act out the dialogue . Give help if necessary . 四、Sum up 1.The vocabulary of relationship . 2.Dialogues. 五、Assignment: 1.Copy the new words. 2.Recite the dialogues by looking at the pictures.
The 2nd period Objectives: 1.To reinforce the vocabulary of relationships. 2.To have fun. 3.To practise pronunciation . Procession: 一、Warming up 1.Have pupils sing a song which they know. 2.Act out the dialogues of unit1. 3.Let the weak pupils act the dialogues by reading out words. 二、Pre-task Sing along 1.Let pupils listen to the tape and mime. 2.Point out the words that they don’t know. 3.Understanding the meaning of the song. 4.Sing along. 5.Help pupils to act as Mummy and Daddy by acting the parts themselves. Rhyme 1.Let pupils chant by themselves Teacher walk around and give help if necessary. 2.Let them listen to the rhyme and mime . 3.To chant it with clap hands . 4.Help them to act all the parts as they chant by chanting the rhyme myself and acting the part.
The 3rd period Objectives: 1.To reinforce the vocabulary of relationships. 3
2.To develop speaking skills . 3.To review and develop questions and answers about people. Procession: 一、Warming up . 1.Sing the song “Mummy loves me”. 2.Chant the rhyme. 二、Pre-task Work with language 1.To tell students what uncle/aunt/cousin mean. 2.Let pupils work in pairs to show their pictures and talk with their parner. 3.Let pupils talk with their parner about the pictures . For example: Who’s he in the picture? He’s my … His name is… 4.Pupils put up or draw a pictures and write the words under the pictures and tell their parners who he/she is . Work in pairs to talk about the family tree of Chen Jiamin as the example. Fun with language 1.Form a group of four. 2.Everyone in the group points to the person in the picture and tell others who he/she is. And then ask each other about the picture. 3.Help students to draw their family and describe it. 三、Assignment: 1.Ask and answer questions about Jiamin’s family tree. 2.Copy the words of unit1.
Unit 2 The 1st period Objectives: 1.To reinforce and develop the vocabulary of relationshios. 2.To develop listening and reading skills. Procession: 一、Warming up: 1.Sing the song “Mummy loves me.” 2.Try to resite the rhyme with clap hands. 二、Pressentation: 1.Let pupils look at the pictures and talk about them. 2.Piont out the words that they didn’t know. 3.Encourage students to read the dialogue silently as they are listening to the 4
reading. Then the whole class read out the dialogue. 4.Encourage pupils to try to act the dialogues in different voice. 5.Ask pupils to act the dialogue by reading out words .Then let some pairs of pupils come up to the platform to act out the dialogue. 三、Practise : 1.Complete the dialogues. 2.Act the dialogues. 四、Assignment: 1.Copy the new words. 2.Try to resite the dialogues.
The 2nd period Objectives: 1.To reinforce the vocabulary of relationships. 2.To have fun . 3.To practise pronounciation. Procession: 一、Warming up 1.Chant the rhyme of unit1. 2.Act out the dialogues of unit2. 二、Presentation. 1.At first have pupils listen to the song.Then point out the words that they don’t know. Help them and read out the words. 2.To add the name of a child instead of Chen Jiamin/Zhang Xiaoling. 3.Set some examples myself first. 4.Let them sing the song. Give help them if necessary. Rhyme 1.Help students to act all the parts as they chant by chanting the rhtyme first yourself and acting the parts .(e.g.becoming small when you sing “My brother’s Sam.He is small.”) 2.Help students to change the chant by doing it my self first. Other names could be Sue and Drew and Ann and Dam. 三、Post-task. 1.Chant the rhyme. 2.Sing the song. 四、Assignment: 1.Sing the song to your family . 2.Try to recite the rhyme.
