野天鹅 the wild swans Chapter 1 Once upon a time, there was a king. He has eleven handsome

sons and one beautiful daughter. The daughter’s name was Elise.

One day, he called all his children together.

Children, three years ago, your mother died. We all love her

very much. But the kingdom needs a queen. I met a wonderful

woman. I asked her to marry me , and she said yes. She will be your

new mother.

Is she beautiful?

Yes, she’s very beautiful.

The next week, the new queen came to the castle. She was

从前呀，有一个国王，他有十一个儿子和一个女儿，女儿叫艾丽莎。他们在一起可快乐啦，整天在花园里玩耍。艾丽莎呀，特别温柔善良，哥哥们都可喜欢她啦。

可是有一天，国王娶了一个新王后，这个新王后可坏啦！她是一个巫婆，她很嫉妒艾丽莎和她的哥哥们那么亲密。于是，她就施了魔法，把十一个王子变成了十一只野天鹅。

艾丽莎可伤心啦，她下定决心一定要把哥哥们变回来。她离开了王宫，踏上了寻找哥哥们的旅程。一路上啊，她遇到了好多困难呢。

有一次，她又累又饿，都快走不动啦。“哎呀，我真的能找到哥哥们吗？”艾丽莎心里有点怀疑。但是她马上又振作起来，“不行，我一定要坚持下去，我一定要救哥哥们！”

终于，她找到了哥哥们，可是他们现在是野天鹅呀，不能说话。艾丽莎心疼极了，她紧紧地抱住哥哥们。哥哥们围着她，好像在说：“妹妹，我们相信你能救我们。”

艾丽莎开始想办法啦，她听说只有用荨麻织成披甲，让哥哥们穿上，才能变回原来的样子。于是呀，她就开始不停地采集荨麻，小手都被扎破了，流了好多血呢，哎呀，那得多疼呀！

这时候有人看到她这样，就说：“艾丽莎，你别白费力气啦，这怎么可能做到呢？”艾丽莎咬着牙说：“我一定能做到！”

她织呀织呀，不分白天黑夜。终于，披甲织好啦！哥哥们穿上披甲，真的变回了原来的样子。艾丽莎高兴得眼泪都出来啦，“哥哥们，你们终于回来啦！”

你们说，艾丽莎是不是特别勇敢呀？她为了救哥哥们，什么苦都能吃，什么困难都不怕。我们也要像艾丽莎一样勇敢面对困难，不要轻易放弃，对不对呀？我讲完啦，弟弟，你喜欢这个故事吗？

当太阳下沉以后，她的哥哥们都回来了。他们看到她一句话也不讲，就非常惊恐起来。他们相信这又是他们恶毒的后母在耍什么新的妖术。不过，他们一看到她的手，就知道她是在为他们而受难。那个最年轻的哥哥这时就不禁哭起来。他的泪珠滴到的地方，她就不感到痛楚，连那些灼热的水泡也不见了。

她整夜在工作着，因为在亲爱的哥哥得救以前，她是不会休息的。第二天一整天，当天鹅飞走了以后，她一个人孤独地坐着，但是时间从来没有过得像现在这样快。一件披甲织完了，她马上又开始织第二件。

所有教堂的钟都自动地响起来了，鸟儿成群结队地飞来。回到宫里去的这个新婚的行列，的确是从前任何王国都没有看到过的。(1838年)
