1.Each着重于个别的“每个”，有“各自”的含义，并不强调整体概念。Every 着重于全体而不是个别的“每个”，有“整体”含义，只能是一个整体的每一个组成或单位。
（Each和every都是“每个”的意思，但是侧重点不同，each着重个别的情况，every着重全体，有“所有”的意思。）
She knows each student of the class .她认识班级中的每个学生。
She knows every student of the class .她认识班级里的所有学生。
Each of them goes to a different factory .他们各自去了不同的工厂。
Every one of them goes to the same factory.他们每个人都去了同一个工厂。
2.Each可用作形容词，也可用作代词，作代词时可以单独用作主语或宾语（作主语时，后面的谓语动词用单数形式）every 可能用作形容词，它不能单独作代词用，只有在和其他词构成复合代词或与名词连用是，才能用作主语或宾语。）
Each of us has his merits .我们每个人都有自己的优点。
Everybody is here and each is doing his own job 大家都在这里，各干各的活儿。
Everybody is here and each is doing his job .从词性上区别：
Each可以做形容词，也可以做代词（可与of 连用），可以用作主语，宾语，同位语。作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
Each of them doesn’t smoke .(作主语) The teacher asked each student. （宾语）
We each have a holiday .(同位语)
Every 只作形容词，只能与名词连用，
Eg. Every boy has a book on the desk.
区别：误 Every of us has a dictionary .
正：Each of us has a dictionary .
3.each 一般可用来指可数的固定的人或物中的一个，而every 则还可以用来泛指一般的人或物。如：I know each member of the club.我认识这个俱乐部的每个成员。
As everybody knows ,the earth is round and goes round the sun..
4. each 和every 虽都可用于指某些固定的人或物中“每个”，但each
一般用于指两个或两个以上的人或物中的一个，而，every则通常用于指三个或三个以上的人或物中的一个。
Trees have been planted on each side of the road .路上的两旁都已种上了树。
Every child in the class passed the examination.班上所有的学生考试都及格了。
