Using a pipette, apply 4 drops of Diaflex A winter screenwash fluid (A 002 986 1471/10) undiluted with about 0,1 ml each to the surface of the test strips (the distance of the drops shall be se-lected so that the drops do not run into each other (see figure), and dry for 24h at RT. Then expose the specimens to 1 to 4 cycles of hot light aging. The staining shall be assessed after each cycle. No visible stains are acceptable. Clean the surface using a cloth impregnated with water or, if appropriate, plastic cleaner (A 001 986 9471/10).The stains shall be assessed as agreed between Daimler AG and the supplier.7.2 Test method for color fastness and aging to light at high temperaturesDIN EN ISO 105-B06 / DBL 5306 and DBL 5307.More precise indication of color fastness (hot light fastness) and aging (hot light aging) against artificial light at high temperatures in accordance with DIN EN ISO 105-B06Exposure conditions:3 (normal); irradiance 1,2 W/m² (420nm)For instrument type C, filter system BS/SL shall be used.Determination of hot light fastness (HLF)Determination of end point:Exposure to ΔE 4,3±0,4 of reference 6 (exposed/to covered).Assessment:Comparison of exposed specimen with original specimen for light source D65.Assessment with blue scale (references).Determination of aging (HLA)Determination of end point:as for HLF, but with several consecutive cycles. For each cycle, a new reference 6 shall be used.Assessment:Comparison of exposed specimen with original specimen for light source D65.Assessment with gray scale in accordance with DIN EN 20105-A02.7.3 EmissionWith regard to constituents, the materials shall comply with current statutory regulations. For the relevant information regarding banned substances and declaration requirements, refer to DBL 8585.Emission testing of organic materials in interiors according to VDA 278:For individual substances, the limit values are listed in DBL 8585. The total emissions are determined by means of the VOC and Fog values. The material DBL for interior parts/materials contains pertinent mate-rial-related and product-version-related limit values. If no specification is given, the general requirements specified in DBL 8585 shall apply. The user is re-sponsible for checking whether the DBL version in his or her possession is the latest version. In particular in the case of substances listed in DBL 8585, the supplier is required to continuously monitor and adjust the concentrations and emissions in accordance with the state of the art. When submitting samples, the results of the emission analysis generated by the laboratory shall alwaysbe enclosed on a CD-ROM together with the related sample data sheet using the template* filed in the standards information system. The VDA 278 analysis shall correspond to the latest status of the compo-nent/material. It shall not be older than one year.*Template in Docmaster: "MB-DATENBLATT_EMISSIONSANALYSE_VDA_278“7.4 Resistance to chemicalsThe resistance to chemicals shall be tested using glass cleaner and cleaner's solvent.Further chemicals in accordance with the specifications of Daimler AG.Examples: Bitumen, tar and silicone removers, preservation agent, dewaxing agent, other cleaning agents.7.4.1 Execution of drop testUsing a pipette, apply about 0,1 ml to the surface and dry after an exposure time of 10 min at 60 °C recir-culating air for 30 min. The surface shall be evaluated 24 h after application. Changes visible with the na-ked eye by a normally sighted person are not permissible. Changes in the degree of gloss shall only be indicated if they cannot be removed with a wet cloth.requirements7.5 FurtherThe following shall be observed:•Determination of Surface Evaluation Criteria for Passenger Car Body Sealing Systems MBN 10459.•Layout and Structure of Quality-Related Features in a Design Drawing for Body Sealing Systems MBN 10461.Copyright Daimler AG 2011Table 2Technical dataLimit requirementsProduct versions (PV)6.
