医学检验是运用现代物理化学方法、手段进行医学诊断的一门学科，以标本为中心，以实验数据为目的，主要研究如何通过实验室技术、医疗仪器设备为临床诊断、治疗提供依据。通过系统学习来了解如何鉴定人的血型、确定一个人是否贫血、肝功能是否正常、怎样拍人体胸部及四肢的X线片，怎样进行CT扫描等等。该学科要求使用各种光电仪器及化学试剂完成实验分析，所以偏重理科，要求有较好的物理、化学基础。

Medical Examination is a subject which uses modern physical and chemical methods to diagnose. With its focus of specimen and its aim of experimental data, it mainly studies how to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment through laboratory technique and medical instrument and equipment.Through systematical learning of it, one can gain some knowledge of several skills, for instance, how to identify one’s blood type, and to determine whether if a person is anemia or if his liver function is normal, how to take x-rays of chest and four limbs of human body, and how to do CT scanning,etc. As requiring people （should）complete the experimental analysis with various electrical instruments and chemical reagents, it is science-oriented and requires people have a good basis of physics and chemistry.
