Unit 1 How can we become good learners?第一课时详案教学目标1.语言目标:词汇:textbook, conversation, aloud, pronunciation结构:--How do you do sth. --I do sth. by doing sth./ --By doing sth.句型:--How do you learn English? --I learn by studying with a group.--Do you learn English by reading aloud? -- Yes, I do. It helps my pronunciation.功能:谈论各科学习中遇到的困难及好的学习方法情感目标:通过对好的学习方法的讨论和学习,让同学们学会选择最适合自己的学习方法来提高自己,同时,也培养他们用正确的科学的有效的方法来做事情的能力,明白选对了方法,事半功倍。
重难点:学会用how来询问做事情的方式;学会用by doing的结构来表达做事情的方式;教学步骤:Step 1: lead-in(飞入第二张PPT)T:This is my friend Tom. He has some problems. Do you know what his problems are? Ss:...T: Yes, there will be a test in two days. But he doesn’t know how to study for a test. Today we are going to help him study for a test. Do you know how to do it?Ss: ...T: Now let’s have a look at other people’s ways to study for a test.Step 2: Before listening(飞入第三张PPT)T:How do you study for a test? 教学目标1.能运用以下句型进行口头交际:How do you study for a test?I study by working with a group.2.对目标语言的听力训练,提高听力技能。

(新知传授环节,利用实物引出,简单明了。
)(2)掌握了语言结构verb+by / with gerund后,学生补充他们自己的两到三种学习英语的方法。
(3)检查学生掌握情况,让两到三个学生讲出他们的学习方法。
(叫一个成绩很好的学生起示范作用,同时让二位学习稍差的学生表达,以便能发现问题,教师应及时帮助纠正典型错误。

Step 1 Free talk
The new term has come. Ask some students what they did in the summer
holiday. Ask them how they did that.
Help the students use the construction”I …by doing …explain “by””
Step 2 Discussion
Have the students say what they think of English.
Then tell each other how they study for an English test.
See the phrases shown in the courseware, which is similar to 1a.Remind them to
use “by doing…”
Step 3 1a Checking the ways you study
Ask students to finish the task. They can add something else.
Step 4 1b Listening
Listen to the tape of 1b, which is recorded in the courseware(convenient to be
repeated). Finish the task.
Then the teacher asks:”how did Mei/ Pierre/ Antonio study?”
Have some students give the answers, i.e. repeat the sentences by using“by
doing”
Step 5 1c Group work
Work in groups. Discuss first. Then make a short dialogue. Have the students
share their work.
Step 6: Writing
See the courseware. Fill in the blanks. Write down the answers on a piece of
paper. Ask students to read their work.
Step 7: Homework
Write the new words and sentences, each one 3 times.
Recite the new sentences.
Dictation all the new words and sentences by themselves.
