①It’s a time to give thanks for food in the autumn.
②Cut the turkey into thin pieces.

1）Learn about the western culture and be able to tell the differences between the eastern and western culture.
2）Get students to cherish the food when learning to make food.
3.Teaching aims and demands
1. To learn to describe the process of making turkey and Yunnan Rice Noodles .
2.To review new words and the main idea of the article in 2b ,to be able to find the phrases in 2b .
4. Teaching procedures
Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision
Go over the words learned in part B. Check if students have remembered them.
Ⅱ. Presentation
1)Show the pictures about a recipe of turkey. Ask students what ingredients are needed and what to do first or next.
2)Let Ss number the pictures [1-5]. Check the answers with the Ss.
3)Use the phrases beside the pictures to tell how to make a turkey dinner .
4)Then ask students to try to tell the process.
Ⅲ.Practice.
1)Students try to fill in the blanks according to what they have learned.
2)Write First, Next, Then and Finally in a instruction of making a turkey dinner.
IV. Reading
1) First, read the sentences and make sure they know the meanings of all the sentences. Then read the passage again and try to answer the questions.
2) Ss read carefully and try to find the answers to the questions. Check the answers with the class.
3). After reading, try to put in proper words to complete a passage.
V. Exercise
1)Read the recipe below and fill in the blanks with the words in the box.
2)How to make Yunnan rice noodles? Get students to talk and practice. Then write down the
missing words.
