What is the first thing to do when you visit in foreign countries?
This is the first article of a series of articles about travel in Australia. This series of articles come from the beautiful announcer- Andi.
The beautiful host goes to Melbourne. She needs to go to St Kilda Beach by taking a tram. Meanwhile she will have to point out three differences between Chinese buses and Melbourne trams.
In Melbourne, taxi is insanely expensive, however, the tram is very cheap and is the most convenient way to get around in Melbourne. More importantly, sightseeing in downtown on a tram doesn’t cost you a dime.
First, it’s important to figure out how to get to the tram. You should know which lines you should catch and what exit you should get off on. There will be a big map at bus station. It tells you how often the trains come.
The first difference is that will have set time at home, but in Melbourne the time trains come constantly changes all the time. Monday through Thursday is one thing, Friday is a different thing.
The second difference is that when they get on the bus, thy all used tap cards, while in Beijing, you can use coins or tap cards even cell phone. So remember to buy myki card to take a bus.
The third difference is when you hop off, you need press a button, otherwise the train will just keep going forever.
It is always a good idea to ask for help in a foreign country, then we need to learn how to ask the questions. Like when you ask for help to a stranger, maybe you should say ”Do you mind poin ting me in the right direction”. Ok, it’s over today.。
