2012 年 6 月12 日,媒体报道,刘洋和来自山东烟台的王亚平成为中国首批女航天员热门人选。
2012 年 6 月15 日,中国载人航天工程宣布其与男航天员景海鹏、刘旺组成飞行乘组员。

33岁的刘洋身着浅蓝色衬衫坐在两位男航天员旁边,像绿丛中一朵安静的百合花。
实际上,飞行并不是刘洋最初的梦想。
曾想过要当律师、售票员、白领丽人的小姑娘,在高三那年阴差阳错地一路过关斩将成了中国第七批女飞行员。
2001年夏天,从航校毕业的她成为飞行部队一名运输机飞行员。
安全飞行1680小时,是她写在蓝天上的骄人历史。
2009年,中国第二批航天员选拔悄然启动。
经过层层选拔,技能娴熟、个性开朗的刘洋与另一名女飞行员组成了中国首批女航天员。
她们都已婚,尚未生育。
还是飞行员的时候,刘洋觉得自己是离天空最近的人。
迈入航天员队伍她才知道,从天空到太空,还有太远太远的路。
训练的严酷超出她的想象:转椅训练过去在飞行部队也有过,为时4分钟,而航天员的转椅训练每次持续15分钟,对谁而言都是一道难过的关。
“5分钟好像是我的极限点。
听到4分钟报时,我突然浑身冒汗,像晕车一样说不出的恶心,但我不能吐,更不能喊停。
教员说过不行
了就喊停,但从第一批航天员到我们这批航天员,没有人中途停过。
因为身体对转椅会有一种条件反应式的记忆,如果你第一次呕吐或停止,下一次就很难坚持了。
”刘洋回忆说,“我只好拼命转移自己的注意力,幻想自己站在美丽的海边,看夕阳,看
浪花。
第一次挺了过去,第二次好多了,后来就一次比一次顺利了。
”太空环境不会因为性别不同而区别对待。
刘洋像男航天员们一样日复一日挑战极限、对抗负荷。
如果没有对飞行的热爱,很难坚持到底。
第七批女飞行员中80%都是独生女,刘洋也不例外。
但刘洋从来不娇气,四年的航校学习,从来不让父母看望她。
还记得第一次跳伞之前打电话回家,母亲在电话那头轻描淡写地说:"不就
是跳伞吗,没问题,安全得很,何况有教员在,我们很放心。
"刘洋当时还有点委屈,跳完了,反而不急于打电话报平安。
到晚上打电话,才知道,爸妈一天都等在家里没有上班。
听到刘洋的声音,爸爸在电话那头激动地说:"好,好,好,平安下来就好。
"妈妈拿起电话,一句话也说不出来,双泪长流。
"雏鹰在家的庇护下,怎么也不能高飞。
"第一次跳伞后,刘洋写信回家这样对父母说。
四年航校毕业后,2001 年 6 月,刘洋和姐妹们被分配到素有"女飞行员摇篮"之称的广空航空兵某师,成为应急机动作战部队的一名飞行员。
从此,刘洋更加刻苦地钻研飞行技术,珍惜每次飞行的机会。
一次,刘洋驾驶着战鹰在进行仪表飞行,飞机离地10 左右,刘洋刚刚发出"收起落架!"的口令,便听到"嘭"的一声,一股鲜血直喷
到风档玻璃上。
瞬间,座舱内便充满了焦糊味,刘洋凭直觉判断:飞机撞鸟了。
紧接着,机械师报告:"右发温度升高,动力
下降。
"在危急情况下,刘洋表现出了一个年轻飞行员少有的镇静,集中精力保持飞机状态,和机组人员密切协同,采取正确的方法着陆。
11 分钟后,终于使飞机在跑道上降落成功。
下飞机一检查,飞机一共撞上了18 只信鸽,有两只被吸进了吸气道。
如果当时处理不当,后果不堪设想。
作为跨世纪的飞行员,刘洋并不满足于"两杆一舵"的生活,在飞行之余,她还擅长朗诵和演讲。
在部队举行的一次英语演讲比赛中,她无限憧憬地说:"只要坚持到最后/推开窗外/就会发现你的玫瑰正在盛开/作为女飞行员/祖国的蓝天就是我心中神圣的玫园。
成就及荣誉2010 年 3 月8 日上午10 时,空军纪念“三八”国际劳动妇女节暨首批歼击机女飞行员荣获“全国三八红旗集体”荣誉称号座谈会在北京举行,刘洋作为第七批女飞行员代表出席大会。
中国载人航天工程新闻发言人15 日宣布,经天宫一号与神舟九号载人交会对接任务总指挥部研究决定,神舟九号飞船定于2012 年 6 月16 日18 时37 分发射,中国人民解放军航天员大队男航天员景海鹏、刘旺和女航天员刘洋组成飞行乘组,执行这次载人交会对接任务。
