过去16个牛仔裤的夏天，是辛琪这辈子都不会忘记的时光，因为这是她的爸爸对她的爱，那条牛仔裤更是一份延续16年父爱的礼物。

16年前的夏天，十四岁的辛琪收到了一份礼物，是一条崭新的牛仔裤。

装着牛仔裤的盒子里还有一封信，信里写着：琪琪，对不起，爸爸今年不能陪你过暑假，这条牛仔裤是爸爸的赔礼，希望你喜欢，这个夏天你能穿上它过暑假，就当做爸爸陪着你，好吗？暑假结束的时候，你写封信把你的见闻告诉爸爸吧。

收到爸爸的礼物，辛琪很兴奋，因为自从两个月前爸爸突然离开家之后，她就再也没有见到爸爸了，妈妈也突然憔悴了很多，让她有些不好的预感。

如今爸爸给她送礼物，让她放下了心，开心地穿上牛仔裤，虽然裤子码数偏大，不太合身，但是丝毫不影响她的好心情。

暑假结束的时候，辛琪写了一封很长的信寄给爸爸，但是爸爸没有回信。

直至第二年夏天，爸爸依然没有出现，只是会偶尔打电话给辛琪，没聊几句就说工作忙要挂电话。

这一年暑假即将开始的时候，辛琪又收到爸爸寄来的信，同样是希望她能穿上那条牛仔裤度过这个夏天，然后写一封回信。

由于这一次来信的地址和上一次的不一样，辛琪以为爸爸是到不同的地方工作去了，虽然心里隐隐有些不安，但是她还是觉得是自己多想了。

第三年、第四年……每年夏天一封信，就是辛琪和爸爸唯一的联系。

辛琪20岁那一年夏天，无意中得知爸爸在她14岁那年的夏天患了重病，熬了一年就去世了。

辛琪连忙问妈妈，才知道那条牛仔裤是爸爸送给她最后的礼物，而这些年收到的信都是爸爸生前拜托他居住在各个城市的朋友轮流给她寄过来的。

爸爸在他还能拿笔写字的时候就已经写好了16封信，希望妈妈在辛琪30岁的时候再告诉她。
