二.学情分析我校的高中学生,大部分英语基础薄弱,并且英语阅读能力较差,学生主动学习性不高。
且刚升入高中的学生还没有掌握略读、跳读等阅读能力和技巧及识别关键词,确定主题句等策略。
因而采用多媒体教学,设置学生感兴趣的问题来激发学生的学习兴趣,使他们能积极主动地参与到课堂的学习中。
三.教学目标a)知识与技能1.充分理解文章大意并能完成所给任务。
2.用所学词汇及语言点进行交流和沟通,并从不同方面来描述一个城市。
b)过程与方法1.利用多媒体教学手段营造积极和谐的教学气氛,使学生能轻松愉快的投入到课堂的学习中。
2.在阅读及语言运用的过程中,逐渐培养学生分析问题和解决问题的能力,并进一步激发学生的创造能力。
c)情感态度与价值观通过本文的学习,培养学生热爱自己家乡的情感,并让学生体会与朋友交往的乐趣。
四.教学重点与难点1.重点:如何利用略读、跳读等阅读技巧和识别关键词,确定主题句,掌握推测概况的阅读方法和策略。

一.教学内容分析
本单元阅读材料是一个对话,介绍了厦门市的地理位置、气候、城市概况。
围绕课本内容,我设计了五个相关任务,前四个任务旨在让学生熟悉课文内容并学会使用介绍人们居住地有关的词汇。
后一个任务目的是通过练习和小组合作,学习运用所学词汇和表达方式来介绍一个地方。

Step I Lead-in & warming up (2’)
Do you like travelling? Today we have a chance to visit a city in China. Follow me! These are pictures of this city. It is a modern and lively city.
What can you see in the picture? Yes, there are many coconut palm.
It can be very hot and humid in summer, but warm in winter.
You can see it is a city on the coast.
Can you guess which city it is?
Focus: To show beautiful pictures about the location and climate of Xiamen to students to arouse students’ interest in the reading material as well as to set an example of how to describe a place.
设计意图:不直接告诉地名,给学生展示有关厦门地理位置,气候及植被的漂亮照片,让学生猜地名,来引起学习兴趣,并且通过照片信息给学生一个范例:如何介绍一个地方。
Step II Fast reading (2’)
The teacher asks the students to read the text quickly and answer three fast reading questions.
Focus: 1. To help students to practice skimming skill.
设计意图:巩固练习跳读获取信息的能力。
Step III Careful reading (13’)
1. The teacher invites students to fill the blanks according to the passage.
2. The teacher asks all the students to retell the passage by themselves.
3. The teacher invites students to retell the passage.
4. The teacher gives students a suggested version and have the students read it aloud together.
Focus: 1 To check whether students can get useful information through the structure map and make sure that students are retelling the text using key words and phrases.
