1. sacrifice n. 牺牲;献身;祭品 短语:sell sth. at a sacrifice亏本出售某物。
1) sacrifice表示 “牺牲;牺牲的事物;祭品”时为可数名词;

The USA is the short of the United States of America. The USA is made up of 50 states. It is
in the North America. It lies between Canada and Mexico. The total area of America is about 9.5
million square Kilometers. It is the fourth largest country in the world. There are over 300
million people living there now.
The capital of the USA is Washington, D.C. New York is the biggest city. The official
language is English. Its National Day is on July 4th. America is a very young country. It only has
about 200 years history. It is the most powerful country in the world today.
