Unit 6 Mid-Autumn Festival(Period Four)

Teaching contents: Let’s play ( page 30 )

Teaching aims:

知识目标:

Using ‘have got’ to indicate possession, e.g. I have got a cake.

Using pronouns to identify people, e.g. you.

Using formulaic expressions to confirm and deny things, e.g. Yes/ No.

能力目标:能表达 have go。

情感目标:学会分享拥有。

Difficult and key points: Using ‘have got’ to indicate possession.

Teaching aids:

A cassette player, student’s book, some word and picture cards, and workbook

pages 22.

Teaching procedure:

Warming-up 1. Sing a song

2. Daily talk

Revision 1. Say & act.

2. Put up the word cards for Units 5 and 6. Let

students read them together.

3. Re-arrange the cards and cover them all

partially with a white card. Point to a card and

ask a student to guess what it is.

Presentation 1. Play guessing games to elicit: I have got a

rubber.

2. Repeat step 1 with other classroom objects.

And elicit: Yes or No.

3. Have a more able student come up and hold

something in his/her hand, hiding it at the

back. Guess what it is, saying ‘You have got

a ...’

4. Open the Student’s Book to page 30. Play

the cassette tape. Students listen and repeat. 5. Divide the class into pairs to play the game.

Invite pairs of students to act to the class.

Consolidation 1. Extend the task by having the same pairs

practise the dialogue, substituting with other

objects they have learnt. Select pairs to act out

their modified dialogues.
