Introduction:
The preschool years are a critical time for children to learn and develop new skills. In this
learning plan, we will focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to
explore, learn and grow. Our goal is to help each child develop their English language skills
through fun and interactive activities. We will cover various topics such as letters, numbers,
shapes, colors, and basic vocabulary.

Week 1: Introduction to Letters

the letters, such as:

- Tracing letters with crayons
- Singing alphabet songs
- Reading alphabet books
- Letter crafts (e.g. making an A is for Apple craft)
Week 2: Introduction to Numbers
In the second week, we will introduce the children to numbers 1 to 5. We will focus on
counting, recognizing the written numbers, and understanding the quantity they represent.
Some activities for this week include:
- Counting games using toys or objects
- Number tracing and coloring
- Singing number songs
- Reading counting books - Number crafts (e.g. making a Number 1 rocket)
Week 3: Shapes and Colors
In the third week, we will introduce the children to basic shapes and colors. We will focus
on recognizing and naming shapes such as circle, square, triangle, and colors such as red,
blue, yellow, and green. Activities for this week will include:
- Shape and color recognition games
- Shape and color sorting activities
- Singing shape and color songs
- Reading books about shapes and colors
- Shape and color crafts (e.g. making a shape collage or a color wheel)
Week 4-6: Basic Vocabulary
In the following weeks, we will focus on building the children's vocabulary in English. We
will introduce them to basic words related to animals, food, clothes, and everyday objects.
We will use a variety of activities to help children learn and remember new words, such as:
- Flashcards with pictures and words
- Vocabulary games (e.g. memory game, matching game)
- Role-playing activities (e.g. pretending to be animals or chefs)
- Vocabulary books and stories
- Vocabulary crafts (e.g. making a collage of different foods or clothing items)
Week 7-10: Phonics and Reading
In the last few weeks, we will introduce the children to phonics and basic reading skills. We
will focus on teaching them the sounds of the letters and how to blend them together to
form simple words. Some activities for this part of the learning plan include:
- Phonics games and activities
- Reading simple words and sentences
- Using phonics flashcards and worksheets
- Reading phonics-based books
