Elton Neremi was a great detective. His companion, Alyssa, often 26 him on his

adventures. The two of them would travel around the world to solve different

mysteries. Sometimes, 27 adventures might even become dangerous and they would

come close to losing their lives.

My first Elton Neremi book 28 by my father. It was a present for my 29

I would be totally absorbed in the story. It was as if I went into a whole new world.

My favorite Elton Neremi adventure is one that took place in Venice. Neremi was in

Venice visiting a sick friend. No doctors 30 cure him. Neremi later realized that

Over the next few weeks, Neremi spent every waking moment 31 for more

information. He searched the house and interviewed many people but found 32.

One morning, as Neremi sat at the dining table drinking a cup of coffee, he thought

that he had not interviewed two people. They were his friend 33 and his wife.

Finally Neremi had his answer. He knew who had been the one poisoning his friend.

It was his 34

wife! She wanted to kill her husband and get all the fortune. She

had been putting in a colorless and odorless chemical into his food for the past

two months. The effects were slow and unnoticeable.

In the end, she was arrested and Neremi's friend recovered 35 time. Once again,

another mystery had been solved.

Grandma took Abby fishing at the lake. Abby swung her fishing pole, but her line didn’t drop into

the water. “Where did it go?” Abby asked.

Grandma pointed to a tree. “If you want to catch dinner for us,” Grandma said, “you have to

get your line in the lake first.”

Grandma took hook from the tree. Abby swung her fishing pole again. She smiled when her

hook hit the water.

“I caught a fish!” shouted Abby. She reeled in her line, but her hook was full of grass.

Grandma removed the grass and put a worm on the hook. Abby swung her fishing pole again.

“If you want to catch dinner for us,” Grandma said, “you have to be quiet so you don’t scare

the fish away.”

“I caught a fish!” Abby shouted. This time when she reeled in her line, an old tin can hung

from her hook.

Grandma removed the tin can and put another worm on the hook. Abby swung her fishing

pole again.

“Now you' re going to catch dinner for us,” Grandma said.

“I caught a fish! A BIG fish!” Abby shouted. She struggled to pull in someone’s boot.
