2. Can you say something about yourself?
① say说;讲 (vt.) 着重指说话的内容

② speak讲话;演讲 着重指说话的动作
speak to sb. (vi.) 同某人说话 She is speaking to her patient.
speak Chinese(vt.)说汉语 He can speak Japanese.
③ talk谈论;谈话(vi.)着重强调两者之间的相互交谈
talk to/with sb.与某人交谈 She is talking with John in English.
④ tell告诉;讲述(vt.)
tell sb.sth.=tell sth. to sb.告诉某人某事
tell sb. about sth. 告诉某人关于某事
tell a truth 说实话，tell a lie 撒谎

二、语法: can 的用法
情态动词；没有人称和数的变化；后接动词原形;
①表示能力，意为“能、会”，可与 be able to转换。
He can ____ (teach) himself English.
Can you____（say）something about yourself in English?
Mary can’t____ （speak）Japanese, but she can speak a little Chinese.
She can speak English=She is able to speak English.她会说英语
②表示请求许可，意为“可以”，与may同义，常用于疑问句。
Can I help you？我能帮你吗？
Can / May I open the window ?
Can / Could you give me a bottle of water?
③表示“允许（做某事）”
You can park your car here.你可以把车停在这里
④疑问句中表示推测“能…？”。否定句中表示推测“不可能…”
Can it be true？它能是真的吗？ That can’t be Kelly. 那不可能是凯丽。
