Lesson 4 Seasons and Clothes 是《ENGLISH THIS WAY》(《新路径英语》)第六册第二单元的第一课，话题是关于描述各个季节的气候特征以及所穿的服装，如本课的新词汇：sweater,
gloves,jeans, shirt, T-shirt,coat，trousers等，以及句式…is here .It’s getting….We wear…。该篇课文是在学生已经在四年级上册Lesson K Four Seasons的基础上展开的进一步学习。该教学题材贴近学生的生活，体现了语言学习不断复现，不断巩固，不断拓展，不断延伸的规律，有利于学生语言的积累和语言运用能力的发展，体现了英语课程标准的理念。但是这篇课文文中出现的新单词多，句子也多，涉及的某些单词较为难发音。本篇教案为第一课时教学设计。作为第一课时，主要整体呈现课文，初步掌握询问句式：…is here .It’s getting….We wear…,对话中出现的新单词sweater, gloves,jeans, shirt, T-shirt,coat，trousers。
学生分析：
小学高段的孩子已开始形成一定的逻辑思维能力，听音习惯良好，阅读理解能力进一步提高，课堂虽不很活跃，但是表现力佳，能够大胆尝试新的语言，积极主动参与学习活动。由于是五年级下学期，已经学习英语两年半，所以学生的词汇量和句型量都有一定的积累，对英语学习的兴趣依然浓厚，学习热情比较高。
教学目标分析：
依据学生已有的认知基础及本课在书中的地位和作用，以及小学英语教学的总体目标，确立本课时的总体教学目标是：
