2024年英语四级十二月第一篇作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Amazing School YearWow, what a year it has been! I can't believe how much fun I had and how many new things I learned in the 3rd grade. My teacher Mrs. Johnson is the best and really made this year so special. At the beginning of the year, I was a little nervous because I didn't know anybody in my new class. But Mrs. Johnson had us go around and introduce ourselves on the first day, and that helped me feel more comfortable. I remember Gabriel sat next to me and we became best friends pretty quickly. He's really funny and always makes me laugh, even when we're doing our work.Speaking of our work, we learned so much cool stuff this year! My favorite subject is definitely science because we got to do a ton of fun experiments. Like when we made those balloon rocket cars to learn about forces and motion. I'll never forget when Jamal's car went zooming across the room and almost broke the fish tank! We also got to grow our own bean plantsfrom seeds and learn about what they need to grow big and strong. Watching their little sprouts pop out of the soil was amazing. In math, we practiced a lot of multiplication and division, which seemed really hard at first. But Mrs. Johnson had us play games and sing songs to help us learn our times tables. Now I'm a multiplication master! We also learned about fractions, which was pretty confusing for a while. But Mrs. Johnson brought in delicious pizzas and chocolate bars to show us what fractions actually look like. That definitely helped it make more sense. For reading, we read a bunch of great books as a class. My favorite was The BFG by Roald Dahl because of all the crazy, invented words the Big Friendly Giant used. Words like "phizz-whizzing" and "squillions" made the book hilarious. I also loved the realistic fiction book About My Mom, where the main character has such a special bond with her mom, just like me. It made me appreciate my own mom even more.We did plenty of fun arts and crafts too. One of my favorite projects was making________________________________________________ out of paper mache. I worked so hard on mine and made it look just like my dog Buddy! Another time we made these cool self-portraits outof modeling clay, yarn, and other materials. I gave myself a bright green mowhawk hairdo and a shirt covered in colorful polka dots. Both of those projects are hanging up in my room at home.In addition to all the learning, we went on some really exciting field trips this year. In the fall, we visited the local apple orchard and got to pick apples right off the trees. We learned about how apples grow and did a fun tasting of different varieties like Honeycrisp, Fuji, and Red Delicious. My favorite was the tart Granny Smith apples! For Earth Day in the spring, we took a trip to the Nature Explorers Park. We went on a awesome hike through the woods and learned to identify different plants, animals, and insects in their natural habitats. I thought the coolest one was the bright red mushroom with white spots.Thinking about everything that happened this year gets me so excited for 4th grade next year. I just know it's going to be even more amazing!I'm definitely going to miss Mrs. Johnson and all my 3rd grade friends over the summer though. The last day of school was really emotional with everyone crying during our goodbye circle. We gave Mrs. Johnson a huge group hug and a ton of heartfelt cards and small gifts to say thanks for being such anincredible teacher. I gave her my masterpiece clay sculpture of herself that I篇2My Big Day Taking the CET-4 ExamHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love learning English and I've been studying really hard to take the big CET-4 exam next month in December 2024. The CET-4 is a super important English test for college students in China. Even though I'm just a kid in elementary school, my parents signed me up to take it too! I'm a little nervous but also really excited. My English teachers at school have been helping me get ready. We've been doing lots of practice tests and going over sample questions. The reading section is kind of hard because the passages are pretty long and have some tricky vocabulary. But I like reading stories in English so I've been trying my best. For the listening part, we've listened to recordings of English conversations, lectures, and news reports over and over again. Sometimes it's tough to catch every word, but I'm getting better at paying close attention. The writing section might be the most challenging part for me. We've had to write all kinds of essays - argumentative, expository, response to a prompt. My teacher says I have a pretty good grasp of grammar and sentence structure for my age, but developing clear and well-organized ideas is still difficult sometimes. I just have to keep practicing and maybe my amazing writing skills will kick in on test day!Translating passages between Chinese and English is another big part of the test. I feel okay with that thanks to doing so many translation exercises. As long as I read carefully and don't rush, I can usually get the meaning across correctly. My parents have bought me a bunch of translation apps and dictionaries to use when I get stuck too. What I'm looking forward to the most is the speaking part of the test! We've done tons of roleplays for different scenarios like interviews, presentations, and casual conversations. I love just chatting away in English and showing off my pronunciation and fluency. I'm a pretty talkative kid, so that section will be a breeze for me. I'll wow the examiners with my outgoing personality and impressive vocabulary! The test will be held at a big university near my hometown. My mom and dad are going to drive me there super early in the morning and pack me a nice breakfast and snacks. They bought me a new outfit to wear - a fancy blazer, skirt, and flats to makeme look very professional. I've been pretending to be a college student while studying to get into the mindset. The night before the exam, I'm going to get plenty of rest and maybe watch an English movie to relax. On test day, I'll wake up bright and early, eat a good meal, and do some last-minute review. Then it will be time to head to the university feeling confident and ready to show what I know! I'll give it my absolute best effort. After the test is finally over, I'm sure I'll feel so proud of myself and relieved. Maybe my parents will take me out for my favorite dumplings or boba tea to celebrate. If I do well on the CET-4, it will look really impressive on future school applications and my college resume down the road. Who knows, I could potentially even get some university credits from this! How cool would that be?For now though, I need to focus on studying hard every day leading up to the big exam. I'll keep reviewing vocabulary words, practicing writing essays, and thinking positive thoughts. My dream is to become an international businesswoman when I grow up and travel all around the world speaking multiple languages. Rocking the CET-4 as a 10-year-old will be my first step toward making that dream come true! Wish me luck!篇3My Most Exciting Summer Vacation Ever!Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I just had the best summer vacation of my entire life and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started a few weeks before school let out for the summer. My mom and dad sat me and my little sister Sally down and said they had a huge surprise planned for our vacation this year. They said we were going to go on a big adventure to a place none of us had ever been before. Sally and I got so excited wondering where we could possibly be going! After what felt like forever, the last day of school finally came. We raced home, packed our suitcases, and got ready for our big trip. The next morning, we woke up bright and early, hopped in the car, and headed to the airport. I had never been on an airplane before so I was a little nervous but mostly just really really excited. After a long flight, we finally landed in a place called London, England! I had learned a little bit about London in school but I was blown away by how different everything looked and sounded. The buildings all looked super old, the money wasdifferent, and everybody spoke with funny accents. It was like being on a different planet! We took a cab from the airport to our hotel right in the heart of the city. Our room had a beautiful view of this famous clock tower called Big Ben. That first night, we were all prettyjet-lagged from the long flight, so we just grabbed some fish and chips from a restaurant down the street and went to bed early. The next morning, we started our sightseeing adventures. First up was Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives! We got to see the changing of the guard, which was so cool with all the pomp and circumstance. Those guards with the big fuzzy hats could not stop marching no matter what - even when a pigeon landed on one of their heads! After the palace, we went on a ride through the city on one of London's famous double decker buses. We got to see places like the Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, and the Tower of London from up top. The tour guide told us all about things like English history, culture, and even magic-loving Harry Potter lore. London is such an old city with so many incredible stories. The next few days, we visited even more iconic spots around London. We saw the incredible collections at the British Museum, explored the sprawling Hyde Park, and even went on a cruisealong the River Thames. We rode the Underground (their subway system) and walked across the Tower Bridge. We listened to musicians performing in the Tube stations and ate delicious curries in neighborhoods like Brick Lane. After experiencing the hustle and bustle of Central London for a few days, we then took a day trip out to the countryside. We visited the picturesque town of Windsor and the amazing Windsor Castle, which is ONE THOUSAND years old! Can you even imagine?? We also stopped at the mysterious Stonehenge rock formation on Salisbury Plain. No one really knows how or why those massive stones were erected there. So bizarre but so cool!On our very last day in England, we went to see a couple of stage shows in London's famous theater district. In the afternoon, we saw a performance of the classic Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet. While I'll admit some of the ancient English was a little hard to follow, it was still fascinating to see that play performed by such talented actors in the exact city where Shakespeare himself once lived and worked. Then that evening, we went to see the musical Wicked, which is based on the story of the witches from The Wizard of Oz. The costumes and sets were unbelievable, and the songs were socatchy and fun. The leading witches had the most incredible singing voices I've ever heard. I loved every minute of that show! After two jam-packed weeks in England, it was finally time to head back home to America. I have to admit, I was pretty sad to leave because we had had such an amazing trip. But I also couldn't wait to get back home and tell all my friends about my adventures in London town. Going overseas for the first time was such an eye-opening experience for me and my family. We made so many incredible memories that I'll never forget.I feel so lucky that my parents took us on such an awesome adventure for our summer vacation this year. Most kids my age probably just stayed home and played video games or went to summer camp. But not me - I got to travel across the world and see things I had only read about in books! I can't wait to see what other exciting trips my family takes in the future. Who knows, maybe we'll even go back to London again someday. But for now, I've got a million stories to tell everyone about my most exciting summer vacation ever!篇4My Best Friend RufusHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my very best friend in the whole wide world - Rufus!Rufus is my golden retriever puppy. He'll be 1 year old next month on April 22nd. We got Rufus from a nice family who had puppies last spring. The first time I saw that litter of cute little golden fur balls, I fell in love! My parents said I could pick any one I wanted for my very own puppy. I picked the one who seemed the most energetic and friendly. That was Rufus for sure! From the moment we brought Rufus home, we were best buddies. I helped take care of him by feeding him, giving him water, playing fetch, and taking him on walks. Rufus is so much fun! He never stops running and jumping around. His tail wags a million miles per hour when he's excited, which is pretty much all the time. Rufus loves getting pet and cuddled too though. Sometimes I just sit on the couch snuggling him for like an hour!Rufus has gotten me into lots of silly situations with his playful personality. One time, he grabbed one of my mom's shoes and started a game of chase through the whole house! I was cracking up watching him proudly prance around with mom's shoe in his mouth. We had to bribe him with treats to finally get the shoe back. Another time, Rufus jumped right intoour swimming pool after a tennis ball I had thrown. He's such a crazy pup sometimes!Having a dog has taught me all about responsibility too though. I have chores to take care of Rufus every single day without fail. In the morning before school, I give Rufus his breakfast and let him out in the backyard to go potty. As soon as I get home in the afternoon, the first thing I do is let Rufus out again and play fetch or tug-of-war with him. Then I give him dinner and refill his water bowl. Before bed, I let him out one last time.I've also learned to be a good friend to Rufus by being patient and caring. When we first got him, he kept having accidents in the house until he was potty trained. Instead of getting mad, I cleaned it up because puppies take time to learn. Whenever he's been naughty by chewing something he shouldn't, I'll gently tell him "No, Rufus" in a firm voice. He knows he did something wrong and will make this sad dog face that makes me feel bad for disciplining him! But it's because I want him to be a well-behaved pup.Rufus has definitely made me more active and outgoing too. Instead of just sitting around the house watching TV or playing video games all day during summer and weekends, I'm outside aton getting exercise throwing a ball or running around with Rufus. We go on hikes, explore the woods near our house, and I've even started learning how to rollerblade while Rufus trots alongside me! Getting some fresh air and sunshine is awesome.Rufus has also helped me make new friends at the dog park. There are some other kids around my age who also love bringing their pups to play. We'll let our dogs run around together while we chat and watch them wrestle and chase each other. I've met Calvin, Nicole, and Jackson that way and we've planned puppy play dates at each other's houses before. It's nice having some new buddies who share my interest in pets.Besides being my best friend to play with every single day, Rufus is also like my little protector in a way. Our neighborhood is pretty safe, but I still feel better walking around with Rufus by my side in case of any strangers or bullies. He's gotten pretty big and can sound very scary when he barks! I'm definitely not afraid of anything with my furry protector puppy around.I love Rufus more than anything in the world. He's brought me so much joy, laughter, responsibility, friendship, and excitement in just one short year! As long as I keep taking great care of him and we stay this close, I know Rufus will be my verybest pal for life. I feel so lucky to have him and can't wait for many more amazing years and memories with my pup.篇5My Experience in the 2024 English Proficiency Test (Level 4) in DecemberHi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm a fifth-grader at Sunshine Elementary School. Last month, I took the English Proficiency Test (Level 4), and let me tell you, it was quite an adventure! It all started a few months ago when my teacher, Mrs. Johnson, announced that our class would be taking the big English test in December. I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. On one hand, I love learning English and practicing my skills. On the other hand, the thought of taking a huge test made my tummy feel a little queasy. As the weeks went by, Mrs. Johnson helped us prepare for the test. We practiced reading passages, writing essays, and listening to audio clips. I have to admit, some of the practice materials were pretty tough, but Mrs. Johnson always encouraged us to keep trying our best. Finally, the big day arrived – December 1st, 2024. I woke up early, had a big breakfast, and made sure to pack plenty of snacks and water for the test. My mom drove me to the testing center, and as we pulled up, I saw lots of other kids my age heading inside. That's when the butterflies in my tummy really started fluttering!Once inside, we were directed to our assigned testing rooms. My room had about 20 other students, and we were each given a desk with a computer and headphones. The test proctor, a friendly-looking lady named Ms. Roberts, explained the rules and told us to begin when she gave the signal. The first part of the test was listening comprehension. We had to listen to different audio clips and answer questions about what we heard. Some of the clips were conversations between people, while others were lectures or news reports. I tried my best to focus and take good notes, but I'll admit, a few of the accents were pretty tricky to understand!Next up was the reading section. We had to read several passages and answer questions about the main ideas, details, and vocabulary. Some of the passages were pretty long and dense, but I tried to read carefully and think critically about the questions. After a short break for a snack and a stretch, we moved on to the writing section. We had to write two essays – one based on a prompt, and another based on a reading passage. I took my time, organized my thoughts, and tried to use a variety of vocabulary and sentence structures, just like Mrs. Johnson had taught us.Finally, it was time for the speaking section. One by one, we went into a separate room and had to answer questions and complete tasks like describing pictures or giving opinions on different topics. I was a little nervous about speaking into the microphone, but I just pretended I was talking to Mrs. Johnson or one of my classmates, and that helped me feel more comfortable. After what felt like an eternity, the test was finally over! As I walked out of the testing center, I felt a huge sense of relief and accomplishment. I had given it my all, and no matter what the results were, I knew I had tried my best.A few weeks later, our scores arrived in the mail. I was thrilled to see that I had scored well enough to earn the Level 4 certification! I couldn't wait to show my parents and Mrs. Johnson.Overall, taking the English Proficiency Test (Level 4) was a big challenge, but also a great learning experience. It taught methe importance of hard work, perseverance, and believing in myself. I'm already looking forward to continuing my English studies and maybe even taking the next level test in a few years.Well, that's my story about the big English test. I hope you found it interesting and maybe even a little inspiring. Remember, with practice and determination, you can achieve great things too! Just keep studying hard, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.Thanks for reading, and happy learning!Your friend,Timmy篇6My Life as a Primary School StudentHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 9 years old. I'm in 4th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I wake up every morning at 6:30am because my mom has to get me and my little brother ready for school. We have to be out the door by 7:45am so we can get to school on time. The first bell rings at 8:15am and that's when we line up outside our classrooms. My teacher is Mrs. Henderson and she'sreally nice. She has blue eyes and long brown hair. Once we get inside, we put our backpacks away and then gather on the rug for the morning meeting. That's when Mrs. Henderson takes attendance and we go over the schedule for the day.My favorite subjects are math and art. I'm really good at adding and subtracting numbers in my head. Multiplication and division are a little harder but I'm getting better. In art class, I love using all the different colors and painting pictures. Last week, we learned how to make clay sculptures. I made a little dog figure that I got to paint and take home.Recess is the best part of the school day! We get to go out to the playground and run around with our friends for 25 minutes. There are swings, monkey bars, a big playing field, and lots of games to play like tag or four square. Sometimes I pack an extra snack like an apple or granola bar to eat during recess. After recess, we have reading group then science or social studies. I really like learning about rocks and minerals in science. Social studies is when we learn about geography, history, and different cultures around the world. Sometimes it's a little boring but other times it's really interesting, like when we learned about ancient Egypt and got to make mummies out of toilet paper! We get a break for lunch at 11:30am. I always pack my lunch from home - usually a sandwich, carrots, a fruit cup, and a cookie or chips. My friends and I sit together and talk about our favorite video games, movies, TV shows, or whatever else is going on.In the afternoon, we have more reading and math lessons. Math is probably my favorite subject overall. It's my best subject for sure. By 2:45pm, I'm starting to get a little antsy because I know the end of the school day is coming up soon. Finally at 3:15pm, the final bell rings and we get to go home!I walk home with my neighbor and best friend Lily. We'll usually play outside for a little while after school if the weather is nice. Then I have a snack, watch a bit of TV, and start my homework. I try to get as much done as I can before dinner. After dinner, I take a bath and get my pajamas on. I read for 30 minutes before bedtime. Right now I'm reading the Harry Potter series - I just started the third book. I love getting lost in the world of wizards and magic!By 8:30pm, I'm in bed and my mom comes in to say goodnight. School days go by so quickly! I really love being a kid and can't wait to see what the rest of 4th grade has in store. Well, I think that's all for now - thanks for reading about a typical day in my life! Talk to you later!。

我计划去西安的旅游计划英语作文My Exciting Plans to Visit Xi'an!I'm so excited because my family and I are going to visit the amazing city of Xi'an in China this summer! Xi'an is one of the oldest cities in China and was even the capital during some ancient dynasties like the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties. That means it has tons of cool historical sites to see.The thing I'm most excited about is getting to see the Terracotta Warriors! These are life-sized sculptures of soldiers and horses that were buried underground with the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. Can you believe craftsmen made tens of thousands of these detailed warrior statues one-by-one back then? I've seen pictures and they look so incredible. The Terracotta Warriors were accidentally discovered in 1974 by some farmers who were digging a well. What an amazing archaeological find! When we go to the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses, I'll get to see thousands of the warrior figures on display along with exhibits explaining how they were made and buried. I can't wait! I hope I get to see some of the different ranks of soldiers, like the archers, infantry, and cavalry men. I've read thateach warrior statue has unique facial features too. It will be so cool to see them up close after learning about them in school.Xi'an has one of the best preserved ancient city walls in China too. The massive walls formed a rectangular shape around the old city center and have existed for over 600 years! We're definitely going to walk along the top of the walls, which are so thick that they're wide enough to be city streets themselves. From up there, we'll get an amazing view over Xi'an. I'm going to pretend I'm a ancient guard keeping watch over the city! Speaking of guards, we'll probably see some recreations of the terracotta warriors standing sentry along the walls.Another site I'm really excited for is the Bell Tower and Drum Tower. These were used in ancient times to mark time and give signals - the bell for daytime and the drum for nighttime. We'll climb up the towers, which are right in the center of Xi'an, and maybe even get to see some demonstrations of the antique bells and drums. I've watched videos of them making such cool, loud, reverberating sounds. Listening to those sounds will make me feel like I'm transported back in time!Of course, we're going to spend time exploring the Xi'an Muslim Quarter too. This area has a mainly Muslim population and an amazing outdoor market selling all kinds of deliciousfood from countries along the Silk Road trading routes. My mouth is watering just thinking about trying foods like handmade naan bread, kebabs, lamb stew, and pomegranate juice! The markets will be so lively and we'll get to see things you can't find anywhere else.I'm also hoping we get to see a show with the famous Xi'an music and dances. I've watched videos of the colorful costumes, choreographed moves, and traditional instruments like cymbals and flutes. A live performance would be the best! Maybe I'll even get to dress up and learn a folk dance routine. How fun would that be?One site that seems kind of creepy but also fascinating is the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, which held the tomb and giant burial mound of China's first emperor. We probably won't be able to go inside the unopened tomb, but we can see recreations of how lavish and huge it must have been based on written records. Apparently the grounds have entire recreations of palaces and scenic wonders made from rare materials like jade! The emperor's servants and treasures were also buried with him to serve him in the afterlife. Cool but definitely gives me chills. We're staying for almost two weeks in Xi'an, so we'll have plenty of time to do all the top attractions but also wanderaround at a slower pace. I want to see people playing games like xiangqi (Chinese chess) in the parks, find little temples tucked away on side streets, and see kids my age going about their daily lives. Maybe I'll make some new friends and practice my Mandarin!I'll make sure to get lots of great pictures and videos to show my classmates when I get back. I've been studying Chinese history and culture all year, so finally getting to experience an ancient capital city in person will make it come alive. This trip is going to be the absolute best and I'll have enough stories and memories to last a lifetime! I can't wait for our Xi'an adventure to begin.。
期末前最后一刻英语作文The final moments before the end of the semester are always a whirlwind of emotions. It's a mix of relief, anxiety, and a dash of panic. You can almost taste the freedom that awaits, but there's still that lingering fear of the unknown. Will all my hard work pay off? Will I pass all my exams? These questions swirl around in my mind as I sit at my desk, surrounded by textbooks and notes.I can't help but reminisce about the past few months. The late nights spent studying, the countless cups of coffee consumed, and the stress-induced breakdowns that seemed to happen every other week. It's been arollercoaster ride, to say the least. But amidst all the chaos, I've learned so much. Not just about the subjectsI've been studying, but about myself as well. I've discovered my strengths and weaknesses, and I've grown as a person. As I flip through my notes, I can't help but feel asense of accomplishment. I've come a long way since the beginning of the semester. I've tackled difficult concepts, conquered challenging assignments, and pushed myself to new limits. It hasn't been easy, but it's been worth it. The knowledge I've gained and the skills I've developed willstay with me long after the semester ends. But as the clock ticks away, I can't help but feel a pang of doubt. Have I done enough? Have I studied hard enough? It's a nagging feeling that won't go away. I find myself second-guessing my answers and doubting my abilities. It's a battle between confidence and self-doubt, and I'mnot sure which side will come out on top.In these final moments, I try to stay focused and calm.I take deep breaths and remind myself that I've done everything I can. I've put in the hours, I've asked forhelp when I needed it, and I've given it my all. Whether or not I succeed is out of my control now. All I can do istrust in my abilities and hope for the best.As the last seconds of the semester tick away, I feel amix of relief and anticipation. Relief that it's finally over, and anticipation for what's to come. The end of one semester marks the beginning of a new chapter. It's a chance to start fresh, to set new goals, and to continue growing. So, as I close my textbooks and step away from my desk, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement for what lies ahead.。
我的旅行计划七年级去西安下册英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Travel Plan to Xi'anEver since I was a little kid, I've dreamed of visiting the famous Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an, China. All the pictures I've seen of those incredible life-sized soldier statues look so mysterious and amazing. I can't wait until next summer when my family is finally going to take me there! We're planning to spend two weeks traveling around theXi'an area. I've been reading every book and website I can find to help get ready. First up, we'll fly into Xi'an Xianyang International Airport. I'm a little nervous about the long flight from America, but I know it will be worth it once we arrive. Our hotel is right downtown near the ancient City Wall that surrounds the old city center. How cool is that? The Xi'an City Wall is one of the oldest and best preserved walls in China. It was first built during the ancient Tang Dynasty over 1300 years ago! I can't wait to walk along the tops of the massive walls and explore the city gate towers on each side.I find it mind-blowing that these terracotta statues were created so long ago during the Qin Dynasty between 221–207 BC. The level of artistry and craftsmanship is remarkable for that ancient time period. Apparently the figures were meant to protect the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. It will be surreal to finally see the Terracotta Warriors in person after learning so much about them.I really want to visit the actual excavation pits where the warriors were found buried underground. There are three main pits that have been uncovered so far, and experts think there could be hundreds more unexplored pits across the area. Just imagine what other treasures could still be hidden beneath the ground! I hope I can watch some of the archaeologists carefully digging and brushing dirt from newly uncovered sculptures. In between all the amazing historical sites, I'm excited to simply experience everyday life in Xi'an. The city dates back over 3,100 years, making it one of the earliest cities in Chinese civilization. I can't wait to wander through the lively Muslim Quarter markets and try all the delicious local foods like roujiamo (a type of Chinese hamburger), liang pi (cold noodles), and pomegranate juice. We also plan to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a huge 210-foot tall tower with beautiful Buddhist carvings. At night, the whole pagoda lights up in a brilliant light show. I've heard the best view is from the top of the ancient City Wall looking out over the pagoda.Another site high on my list is the Shaanxi History Museum. This is one of the most extensive collections of ancient Chinese artifacts, including tons of objects from the Silk Road trade route like sculptures, coins, and ceramics. I'm a huge history buff, so I'll be like a kid in a candy shop geeking out over all the exhibits.Speaking of the Silk Road, we may have time for a day trip to the beginning of the ancient Silk Road trade route at Xian Village. How awesome would it be to stand at the very place where those legendary merchants and explorers used to depart on their long journeys to far-off lands? The village still has remnants of the Great Wall plus other historic ruins to explore. As much as I'm looking forward to all the incredible historic sites, I also can't wait to practice my Chinese language skills. I've been studying Mandarin for two years, but it will be my first time using it for real conversations. I'll definitely be the one doing all the talking at restaurants and shops to stretch my language muscles. While my little brother will probably get bored with too many museum visits, there are plenty of fun activities in Xi'an to keep him entertained too. We're planning to ride the antique touring carts around the City Wall park area where you can dress up in traditional costumes. He'll love that! There are also tons of busy night markets filled with games, snacks, and littleknick-knack shops. This trip will be such an enriching cultural experience for me.I know it will help deepen my appreciation for ancient Chinese history and traditions. Who knows, maybe I'll even decide to become an archaeologist or historian after getting to witness those incredible Terracotta Warriors up close. At the very least, I'm sure this journey will create memories to last a lifetime. Xi'an, here I come!篇2My Travel Plan to Xi'anEver since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by the stories of ancient China. The tales of powerful emperors, mighty armies, and incredible inventions like the compass and gunpowder have always captured my imagination. That's why I'm so excited aboutmy upcoming trip to Xi'an, one of the most historically significant cities in China.Xi'an was the capital of China for many dynasties, including the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties. It's where the famous Silk Road began, connecting China to the rest of the world through trade and cultural exchange. But what fascinates me the most about Xi'an is the Terracotta Army, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. The Terracotta Army was created by the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, to protect him in the afterlife. It consists of thousands of life-size clay soldiers, horses, and chariots buried underground. Each soldier is unique, with different facial features and expressions, as if they were real people frozen in time. Can you imagine the effort and craftsmanship that went into creating such a massive and intricate work of art over 2,000 years ago? It's mind-blowing!Another highlight of my trip will be the Muslim Quarter, a vibrant and colorful neighborhood that has been a center of Islamic culture in China for centuries. I'm looking forward to exploring the narrow alleys, trying delicious local street food, and learning about the fascinating blend of Chinese and Middle Eastern influences in the area. But Xi'an isn't just about ancient history – it's also a modern, thriving city with plenty of exciting attractions. One place I'm really eager to visit is the Xi'an Museum, which houses an incredible collection of artifacts from different dynasties, including pottery, jade, and bronze works of art. I can't wait to see these priceless treasures up close and learn more about the rich cultural heritage of China. As you can probably tell, I've been doing a lot of research and planning for this trip. I've been studying Chinese history and culture in school, and I've even been practicing some basic Mandarin phrases to help me get around and communicate with locals. I know that traveling to a foreign country can be challenging, but I'm ready to embrace the adventure and learn as much as I can.One of the things I'm most excited about is the opportunity to make new friends and connections. Who knows, maybe I'll meet other kids my age who share my love for history and adventure, and we can explore Xi'an together. Or maybe I'll meet locals who can teach me about their traditions and way of life. Either way, I'm sure this trip will be an amazing opportunity to broaden my horizons and learn more about the world beyond my hometown. As I count down the days until my departure, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This trip to Xi'an isn't just about seeing ancient ruins and trying new foods – it's about stepping out of my comfort zone, embracing new cultures, and discovering more about myself and the world around me. It's an adventure that I know will shape me in ways I can't even imagine, and I can't wait to see what surprises and lessons await me in this incredible city.So here's to new experiences, new friends, and making the most of every moment in Xi'an. I may be a kid, but I'm ready to take on the world, one ancient city at a time!篇3My Travel Plan for Visiting Xi'anEver since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by ancient history and cultures. My favorite subject in school is world history and I love learning about great civilizations like Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, and the mighty Egyptian pharaohs. However, there is one ancient culture that has always captured my imagination more than any other - the magnificent Chinese civilization!China has such a rich, sprawling history spanning thousands of years. From the creation of amazing inventions like paper, the compass, and gunpowder to the construction of breathtaking wonders like the Great Wall and the Grand Canal, the Chinese have achieved so many incredible things. One place in China that I am absolutely desperate to visit is the city of Xi'an. Xi'an is known as the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization and was the capital for 13 dynasties over a period of more than 1,100 years! My dream is to go on a fun-filled adventure exploring all of the amazing historical sites and museums in Xi'an during our next summer break from school. I've already started researching and planning out an itinerary for this epic trip. Here are the top places I want to see and things I want to do in Xi'an:The Terracotta Warriors and Horses MuseumThis has to be the number one destination on my Xi'an travel list! The Terracotta Army is one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. It's an underground mausoleum of more than 8,000 life-sized terracotta soldier statues that were buried to protect China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. Each individual warrior statue is unique and has incredibly intricate details and expressions carved into them. The artistry and level of craftsmanship is just mind-blowing, especially considering they were created over 2,200 years ago! I can't wait to see the grand scale of this underground battle formation in person. It's going to be surreal. The Ancient City WallSurrounding the City Center of Xi'an is one of the best preserved and most complete ancient city walls in China. It was first built during the Tang Dynasty in the 7th century, though much of what still stands today are renovations from the Ming Dynasty era in the 14th century. The Xi'an City Wall is an impressive 13.7 km (8.5 miles) in circumference and has a massive 98-foot wide base. There are also 5,984 crenellations along the top to allow archers to shoot arrows from the wall. How cool would it be to ride a bike along the entire length of this ancient wall and take in the views ofXi'an's modern skyline mixed with old-world architecture!? I bet the photo opportunities will be incredible. The Muslim QuarterWithin the walled city center is a vibrant area known as the Muslim Quarter. For over 600 years, this neighborhood has been home to the Hui people, one of the largest ethnic minority groups in China who are Muslims of Chinese heritage. The Muslim Quarter is famous for its lively street markets, aromatic food stalls, and unique Islamic-style architecture like the Great Mosque.I'm really excited to wander the narrow, winding alleyways and soak in the sights, sounds, and smells of centuries of diverse cultural influences. And you know I'll be sampling as many delicious local foods and snacks as I possibly can! I've heard the beef and lamb skewers, persimmon cakes, and pomegranate juices are out-of-this world good. The Shaanxi History MuseumAs a huge history buff, a visit to Xi'an would not be complete without spending a day (or maybe even two!) at the Shaanxi History Museum. This state-of-the-art facility houses an epic collection of over 370,000 relics that tell the story of 1.7 million years of Chinese civilization in the Shaanxi province. Some of the prized artifacts I'm looking forward to seeing include prehistoric pottery dating back over 6,500 years, ancient Chinese writing examples from the Shang Dynasty oracle bones, and an extensive collection of bronzeware, ceramics, and Buddhist statues. My brain is going to be overloaded taking in all of that incredible history! The Bell and Drum TowersAnother iconic symbol of Xi'an's grand history are the Bell Tower and Drum Tower located in the city center. Both structures date back to the 14th century during the Ming Dynasty era when they were used to keep track of time and share signals with citizens. The Bell Tower would ring out every hour to indicate the time, while the Drum Tower's rhythms marked time in a different way.I think it will be really fun to not only see these beautiful towers up close, but to also witness them still being used for their original functions today! I'd love to catch one of the performances where they play the ancient bell and drums just like they did hundreds of years ago. Experiencing living history like that gives me goosebumps. The Wild Goose PagodaOne of Xi'an's most iconic landmarks is the Wild Goose Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist pagoda originally constructed in the 7th century during the Tang Dynasty. It's named after theliteral meaning of the pagoda's Chinese name, which refers to the fact that the pagoda's shape resembles wild geese rising into flight. At over 210 feet tall, the pagoda's towering multi-level structure and unique architecture is breathtaking. While the current pagoda dates back "only" about 700 years, it stands on the same site as the original pagoda built in the year 652 AD. I'm really curious to learn more about the Buddhist culture and meaning behind these types of pagodas during my visit. That's just a taste of some of the amazing historical and cultural experiences awaiting me on my dream trip to Xi'an! From the world-famous Terracotta Army and the towering Ancient City Walls to the bustling Muslim Quarter markets and stunning ancient pagodas, Xi'an seems to have endless gems of the past around every corner. My journey would not only allow me to walk in the footsteps of emperors, warriors, and merchants from thousands of years of Chinese history, but also let me immerse myself in Xi'an's unique blend of old and new, East and West. I have no doubt this trip would create memories to last a lifetime and further fuel my deep passion for ancient cultures and civilizations. Xi'an, here I come!篇4My Travel Plan to Xi'anI've always loved learning about history and different cultures, and one place that has fascinated me for a long time is the ancient city of Xi'an in China. It's incredible to think that this place was once the capital of several powerful dynasties, and it's home to some of the most amazing historical sites in the world, like the Terracotta Warriors and the City Wall. That's why I've been dreaming of visiting Xi'an ever since I was a little kid, and I've finally convinced my parents to let me go there for our next big family vacation!Another must-see destination in Xi'an is the ancient City Wall, which stretches over 8 miles around the old city center. This massive defensive wall dates all the way back to the 14th century, and you can actually rent a bike or take a golf cart to ride along the entire length of the wall and see the city from up high. I think that would be such a cool way to get a bird's-eye view of Xi'an and all its historic architecture, like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and the old mosque. Speaking of architecture, we definitely need to pay a visit to the Great Mosque, which is one of the oldest and best-preserved mosques in China. Even though Islam isn't one ofthe major religions in China, this mosque has been an important part of Xi'an's culture and history for over 1,000 years. In addition to eating my way through Xi'an, I'm also really excited to do some fun cultural activities and learn about local arts and crafts. One thing I definitely want to do is attend a Tang Dynasty dance show, which recreates the music, dances, and costumes from that famous golden age of Chinese culture and arts. I've seen clips online of the dancers whirling around in colorful flowing robes and it looks absolutely mesmerizing. Another must-do activity is visiting a lacquerware workshop to see how those beautiful lacquered wood bowls, vases, and other products are made using traditional methods passed down for centuries.Getting to travel to such an amazing historical place that's been around for thousands of years? Sampling incredible foods I've only dreamed about? Learning about arts, crafts, and cultural traditions that date back to ancient dynasties? Sign me up! I seriously can't wait for our family vacation to Xi'an – it's going to be the trip of a lifetime. Now I just need to start brushing up on my Mandarin language skills so I can try out a few phrases with the locals. Nǐ hǎo, Xi'an, here I come!篇5My Travel Plan to Xi'anEver since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by ancient history and cultures. I used to spend hours poring over books about the great civilizations of the past, marveling at their incredible achievements and imagining what it must have been like to live in those times. One civilization that has always held a special place in my heart is ancient China, with its rich tapestry of dynasties, philosophies, and architectural wonders. And of all the places in China that I've dreamed of visiting, Xi'an stands out as the one I long to experience the most. This ancient capital, which served as the starting point of the legendary Silk Road, is a veritable treasure trove of historical sites, cultural attractions, and culinary delights. I can't wait to immerse myself in its captivating blend of old and new, and to walk in the footsteps of emperors, scholars, and traders who once called this city home.As I've been planning my dream trip to Xi'an, I've been making a list of all the places I want to see and things I want to do. At the very top of that list is, of course, the iconic Terracotta Warriors. These life-size sculptures, crafted over 2,000 years ago to guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, are an incredible testament to the skill and artistry of ancient Chinese craftsmen. Ican only imagine the awe I'll feel as I gaze upon these silent sentinels, each one unique and intricately detailed, frozen in time yet still commanding respect and admiration after all these centuries.Next on my itinerary is the ancient City Wall, which dates back to the 14th century and is one of the best-preserved fortifications of its kind in all of China. I can picture myself strolling along the top of this massive structure, taking in panoramic views of the city and letting my imagination transport me back to a time when these walls served as Xi'an's formidable defense against invaders. Perhaps I'll even have the chance to rent a bike and cycle along the entire 14-kilometer loop, feeling the wind in my hair and the history all around me.Beyond these iconic attractions, there are so many other fascinating sites and experiences that I'm eager to discover in Xi'an. I want to lose myself in the tranquil beauty of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a towering Buddhist structure that has stood as a beacon of spirituality and architectural prowess since the 7th century. I'll visit the remarkable Shaanxi History Museum, where I can trace the region's incredible journey through time and marvel at the countless artifacts and relics on display. And who knows? Perhaps I'll even have the chance to venture beyond the city limits and explore the stunning natural landscapes that surround Xi'an. I can picture myself hiking through the lush, misty mountains of the Qinling Range, or gazing in wonder at the awe-inspiring sight of the Huaqing Hot Springs, where pools of steaming water bubble up from the earth in a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors. As I continue to dream and plan for this incredible adventure, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation bubbling up inside me. This trip represents so much more than just a vacation – it's an opportunity to connect with a rich and fascinating culture, to immerse myself in the living history of a place that has played such a pivotal role in shaping our world, and to create memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.I know that the experience of being in Xi'an, of walking the same streets and breathing the same air as countless generations before me, will be nothing short of transformative. And who knows? Perhaps this journey will be the spark that ignites a lifelong passion for exploring the wonders of our ancient world, and for discovering the stories and secrets that lie hidden within the crumbling ruins and dusty artifacts of civilizations long gone. For now, though, my focus is on making this dream a reality. I'll continue to read and research, to plan and prepare, counting down the days until I can finally set foot in that magical city and begin my own personal odyssey through the annals of history. Xi'an, with all its mysteries, marvels, and untold tales, is calling –and I can't wait to answer.篇6My Travel Plans to Visit Xi'anHi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 7th grader. I'm super excited because my family is planning a really cool trip to Xi'an this summer! Xi'an is this amazing, historic city in the Shaanxi province of China. It was the capital of ancient China for over 1,000 years and there are so many incredible things to see and do there. Let me tell you all about my travel plans!First off, the main reason we're going to Xi'an is to see the Terracotta Warriors. Have you heard of them before? They are these lifesized terracotta sculptures that make up the mausoleum army of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. There are thousands of warrior statues that were buried with the emperor to protect him in the afterlife. Isn't that crazy? Each statue is unique with different facial features and everything. They were accidentally discovered in 1974 by some local farmers who were digging a well. Can you imagine just stumbling upon an entire ancient army of terracotta warrior sculptures? That's got to be one of the coolest archaeological discoveries ever!My dad is a huge history buff so he is particularly excited to see the Terracotta Warriors up close. He's been watching all these documentaries about the warriors and reading books to learn as much as he can before we go. I have to admit, the more I learn about them, the more fascinating I find them too. The level of detail and artistry is just mind-blowing, especially considering they were created over 2,000 years ago! I can't wait to walk through the excavation pits and see the warriors face-to-face. My mind is going to be blown. But the Terracotta Warriors aren't the only reason Xi'an is an amazing destination. The city itself is like a living museum with so much rich history and culture. One place I really want to visit is the Ancient City Wall. It's this massive fortification built in the 14th century during the Ming Dynasty that surrounds the old city center. You can actually walk or even bike along the top of the wall and get a panoramic view of Xi'an from up above. How cool is that going to be? Walking along an ancient wall that'shundreds of years old and looking out over the city skyline. I'm definitely going to take a ton of pictures!Xi'an is also famous for its mouthwatering cuisine. My mom has been drooling over all the delicious foods we'll get to try, like roujiamo (a type of pulled pork sandwich), liang pi (cold rice noodles), and yangrou paomo (crumbled flatbread in mutton soup). Everything looks and sounds so flavorful and unlike anything we can get back home. I have a big sweet tooth too, so I'm really looking forward to trying some local desserts and snacks like persimmon cakes and glutinous rice balls. Yum! Good thing we'll be doing a lot of walking to work off all that food.Another place high on my list is the Bell Tower and Drum Tower. These were sacred buildings in ancient Chinese cities used for telling time and issuing alerts to the population. In Xi'an, the Bell Tower was built in 1384 during the Ming Dynasty and the Drum Tower dates back even further to 610 AD in the Tang Dynasty! How insane is that? I can't even wrap my head around buildings that have been standing for over 1,400 years. I'm really curious to learn about the history and architecture behind these iconic towers. And I've heard they light up beautifully at night, so we may try to catch them when the sun goes down.I could go on and on, but I'm already out of breath just talking about everything we have planned. Xi'an feels like the ultimate destination if you're into history, culture, food, or just immersing yourself in an entirely different world. Part of me is a little nervous to travel so far away to a place that seems so different from home. But mostly, I'm just super psyched! This is the kind of experience you'll remember for the rest of your life. In 20 years, I'll look back and say "hey, remember that incredible time we went to Xi'an in 7th grade?" Except this time, maybe I'll be the one boring my kids with all the details!Well, that's the scoop on my highly anticipated trip to Xi'an! We leave in just a couple of weeks and you can be sure I'll be documenting everything on my social media channels. Be prepared for a blitz of photos, videos, and updates as I explore one of the most historic and fascinating cities on the planet. Xi'an, here I come!。
I've been studying history in China.
My name is Leo, I’m form Australia, and I’ve been teaching in china for two years, I teach in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, this is an interesting city with a very colorful history, there is some European influence in the city, and some of the old buildings in Harbin are in Russian style.
S ince I came to china, I’ve been learning a lot about my family history, although I'm Australian, my family is Jewish, so it was very interesting for me to learn that a lot of Jews came to live in Harbin many years ago, my parents were so surprised when I told them about this, in fact, the first Jews probably came to Kaifeng more than a thousand years ago and were welcomed by the Song Emperor.
When I lived in Australia, I studied history at school but we usually studied Australian or western history. However, when I heard that I was going to work in china .I started studying Chinese history, I’ve been studying for over two years now, my friends in Australia said that Chinese history was very hard to understand ,but I like me ,the more I learn about Chinese history the more I enjoy living in china.
And although I live quite far from Beijing, I’m certain I will be here for the Olympic Games in 2008!
