ThisstandardisissuedunderthefixeddesignationA265;thenumberimmediatelyfollowingthedesignationindicatestheyearoforiginaladoptionor,inthecaseofrevision,theyearoflastrevision.Anumberinparenthesesindicatestheyearoflastreapproval.Asuperscriptepsilon(e)indicatesaneditorialchangesincethelastrevisionorreapproval.

1.Scope

1.1Thisspecification2coversplateofacarbonsteelor

low-alloysteelbasetowhichisintegrallyandcontinuously

bondedononeorbothsidesalayerofnickelornickel-base

alloy.Thematerialisgenerallyintendedforpressurevesseluse

butmaybeusedinotherstructuralapplicationswherecorro-

sionresistanceofthealloyisofprimeimportance.
