一、 教材内容分析（Analysis of the teaching material）

1. 教学内容：

阅读课文What’s So Funny?

2. 教学内容分析：

本单元的中心话题是“笑”，内容涉及到“喜剧明星”、“幽默故事”、“个人趣文轶事”等。在第一课时里，学生已经围绕中心话题开展了谈喜剧明星、说经典小笑话的热身活动，为阅读做了很好的铺垫。本节课是本单元的第二版块，主要向学生展示了三篇趣味故事：家庭和谐、检查你的拼写、失忆。通过阅读，学生可以了解如何欣赏英语幽默故事，懂得生活中幽默的重要性— 帮助减轻工作或学习压力, 通过欣赏笑话、趣味故事，培养个人幽默感。同时，也为后面写个人趣闻轶事奠定了一定的基础。

二、 设计思想（Designing ideas）

1. 根据《高中英语教学大纲》的要求，在课堂教学中，必须以学生为主体、为中心进行教学，教师在教学中起主导作用。因此我采用任务型教学方式，每一部分都设有一定的任务，引导学生自主或合作完成。教学过程由四张喜剧明星图片开始，由此展开讨论他们的幽默语言和欣赏两篇小幽默。热生之后引入本课三篇幽默故事。阅读活动由整体入手，由易到难，步步推进，层层深入。其中有根据上下文猜词游戏。接着进行听力活动，旨在巩固所学词汇和进一步了解文章故事。讨论部分旨在引导学生对三篇故事做简单评价，表达自己对幽默故事的看法，尝试着说出自己的有趣故事。在讨论的基础上引导学生动手写。整个教学活动以教材为载体，以学生为中心。学生参与活动贯穿始终。学生既有个人活动，又有小组活动和班级活动。

2. 运用交际手段，培养学生能力。绝大部分学生主要是在课堂上学习英语，而在现实生活中缺少语言交际的环境和场所。从语言学角度来看，语言是人与人之间最常用最有效最重要的一种交通工具。交际能力是指在真实的情景中运用语言进行听说读写、交流信息和思想感情的能力。在教学中我努力创设和提供情景操练的机会，尽可能的将真实生活搬进课堂，注意在教学中为学生创设语言交际的环境。同时，还注意到交际是双向的，是说者和听着双向交流思想的过程。在这一过程中，双边地位是不断发生变化，互相转换的。所以，尝试着将上课开始教师问学生答的free talk模式改为放手让学生互相问答，自由对话。
