公共英语四级(口试)-65(总分:80.00,做题时间:90分钟)一、Part A(总题数:0,分数:0.00)二、Part B(总题数:2,分数:40.00)1.Interlocutor:Now, I"d like you to talk about something between yourselves and speak loudly so that we can hear you. You should take care to share the opportunity of speaking.(Put Picture for Candidates in front of both candidates and give instructions with reference to the picture.)You are going to talk about George Washington. What do you know about him? This picture is for your reference. You have three minutes for this. Would you like to begin now, please?(分数:20.00)__________________________________________________________________________________________ 正确答案:()解析:Candidate A:How much do you know about George Washington?Candidate B:Um, let me think. George Washington is a great man in American history. He was the first president of the United States. Perhaps that is all I know.Candidate A:I can tell you more. You know, George Washington was born in 1732 in a Virginia planter family, and he learned the morals, manners and plenty of knowledge requisite for an 18th century Virginia gentleman. He pursued two intertwined interests: military arts and western expansion. From 1759 to the outbreak of the American Revolution, Washington managed his lands around Mount Vernon and served in the Virginia House of Burgesses.Candidate B:Oh, I see. Well, anything else about George Washington?Candidate A:Um, let me think... When the Second Continental Congress assembled in Philadelphia in May 1775, Washington, one of the Virginia delegates, was elected Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. On July 3, 1775, at Cambridge, Massachusetts, he took command of his ill-trained troops and embarked upon a war that was to last six grueling years. Washington enjoyed less than three years of retirement at Mount Vernon, for he died of a throat infection on December 14, 1799. For months the Nation mourned him.Candidate B:A Great man! I am eager to read books about him myself.2.Interlocutor:Now, I"d like you to talk about something between yourselves and speak loudly so that we can hear you. You should take care to share the opportunity of speaking.(Put Picture for Candidates in front of both candidates and give instructions with reference to the picture.)You are going to talk about the Chinese and western festivals. Tell me why so many Chinese people like western festivals. This picture is for your reference. You have three minutes for this. Would you like to begin now, please?(分数:20.00)__________________________________________________________________________________________ 正确答案:()解析:Candidate A:What are the festivals in the picture?Candidate B:They are Spring Festival, Christmas, Valentine"s Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. Do you think Chinese young people like western festivals?Candidate A:Yeah. Young people nowadays not only celebrate traditional Chinese festivals but also celebrate some western festivals, such as April Fool"s Day and Christmas. Do you think which one their favorite is?Candidate B:I think most young men like Valentine"s Day and Christmas. They get excited when the festivals are coming. Usually, they have a party on Christmas Eve.Candidate A:Spring Festival is also very popular among young people, and it"s a great time for the whole family. Don"t you think so?Candidate B:Well, Spring Festival is a big day for every Chinese, not to mention young men. Of course we do a lot of things during Spring Festival. Why do young people like western festivals? Candidate A:I think young men like everything new and they can"t resist the temptation.Candidate B:Yes, they just do what westerners do. They send gifts and cards to their friends during Christmas. Doing it, they can have a lot of fun.Candidate A: They enjoy a lot during these festivals.三、Part C(总题数:2,分数:40.00)3.Interlocutor:I"m going to give you a picture and I"d like you to first describe it briefly and then give your comment on what you see in the picture.(Put Picture for Candidates in front of both candidates.)Candidate A, this is your picture. You have three minutes to talk about it.Candidate B, listen carefully while Candidate A is speaking. When he/she has finished, I"d like you to ask him/her a question about what he/she has said.Candidate A, would you like to begin now, please?Interlocutor:Thank you. Now, Candidate B, could you please ask your partner a question?(Half a minute for asking and answering the question.)(分数:20.00)__________________________________________________________________________________________正确答案:()解析:Candidate A:From the pictures, we can see that two teenagers are fighting and a policeman is shouting "Stop!" to them. Whether the category is murder or robbery, the problem of juvenile crime has drawn people"s attention. In my opinion, there are a number of factors, both individual and social, which may account for the serious problem. One reason is that with the improvement of our life, people have more sources of entertainment, among which TV is the most popular. Unfortunately, many TV programs are full of violence and crime. Influenced by these programs, teenagers, who are not mentally mature enough, will follow the examples to commit crimes. Another reason lies in the breakup of more and more marriages. Those teenagers who live in single-parent families are said to feel neglected and may easily develop bad behavior. Being both physically and mentally weak, many of them will easily fall into the trap of being criminals.Interlocutor:Thank you. Now, Candidate B, could you please ask your partner a question?(Half a minute for asking and answering the question.)Candidate B:Can you give some possible solutions to this problem?Candidate A:For one thing, parents and society should be more concerned with the mental education of young boys and girls. For another, teenagers themselves should have enough knowledge of law so that they can distinguish right from wrong.4.Interlocutor:I"m going to give you a picture and I"d like you to first describe it briefly and then give your comment on what you see in the picture.(Put Picture for candidates in front of both candidates.)Candidate A, this is your picture. You have three minutes to talk about it.Candidate B, listen carefully while Candidate A is speaking. When he/she has finished, I"d like you to ask him/her a question about what he/she has said.Candidate A, would you like to begin now, please?Interlocutor:Thank you. Now, Candidate B, could you please ask your partner a question?(Half a minute for asking and answering the question.)(分数:20.00)__________________________________________________________________________________________正确答案:()解析:Candidate A:In the picture, we can see a boy is chatting online. There are many books and periodicals surrounding another person who is sitting before a computer. It"s obvious that he"s searching for some information. Now, everybody has realized the importance of hi-tech and wants to make full use of it. You can talk online to an expert in a certain field. You can get the latest information of an issue if you use the Internet to study. It"s certainly a convenient way. You needn"t go to the library and search for the information you need among a mountain of books. Interlocutor:Thank you. Now, Candidate B, could you please ask your partner a question?(Half a minute for asking and answering the question.)Candidate B:According to you, how does the Internet change our life?Candidate A:The Internet is changing our lives in many ways. We can contact the rest of the world without leaving our homes. We can also work at home instead of going to offices; we can also make purchases at home and we can get the latest news instead of buying newspapers. Also, we can now contact each other easily and communicate with each other more frequently. I believe the Internet will be more and more important in people"s lives.。

专业英语四级-65(总分:100.00,做题时间:90分钟)一、READING COMPREHENSION(总题数:0,分数:0.00)二、TEXT A(总题数:2,分数:25.00)Spring is here: flowers are in bloom, birdsong fills the air, and the inboxes of employers arefilled with desperate appeals for summer internships. College students and graduates are well aware of the impact a desirable placement could have on their careers. With ever fewer entry-level jobs in many industries, internships have become a critical first step into employment. In America, three-quarters of students on a four-year university course will have toiled as an intern at least once before graduation. Up to half of these workers will have given their services free. Somemay even have had to pay for the privilege of coming to work.Unpaid internships seem to be an example of mutual utility: inexperienced youngsters learn something about a chosen field while employers get to farm out some unskilled work. The arrangement is consensual, and companies often use internships to test potential recruits. But the increasing popularity of these unpaid placements has caused some controversy lately. Nick Clegg, Britains deputy prime minister, recently launched a crusade to ban them, arguing that they favour the wealthy and privileged. Others complain that uncompensated internships violate labour standards, exploit new workers and surely depress wages for everyone else. In America, they tend to be illegal at for-profit companies, according to guidelines set out in 1947. But the Department of Labour barely enforces such rules, in part because interns are often too afraid to file complaints. Organisations in America save $2 billion a year by not paying interns a minimum wage, writes Ross Perlin in Intern Nation, a new book about the highly competitive race to the bottom of the corporate ladder. Perhaps one-third of all internships at for-profit companies are unpaid, and interns now often fill roles once held by full-time employees. Young people and their parentsare subsidising labour for Fortune 500 companies, Mr Perlin comments. To avoid legal complications, companies often encourage students to work in exchange for academic credits from their college. But such credits can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Some colleges abolish their fees or earn them by offering guidance and oversight. For many institutions, however, they are an easy source of revenue, more beneficial to themselves than their students. Calls for new labour laws that reflect the growing prominence of internships have got nowhere. Instead, interns will have to look out for each other, for example by rating their experienceson websites such as InternshipRatings and Internocracy. At any rate, students may be buoyed bya rare bit of good news from the National Association of Colleges and Employers: employers intend to hire 19% more graduates this year than last. This should spare some from the misery of working without pay.(分数:12.50)(1).According to the first paragraph, college students and graduates find it most essential to______.(分数:2.50)A.get an entry-level jobB.provide free serviceC.do an internship √D.pay for the privilege of getting a job解析:[解析] 第1段第1句讲到雇主的邮箱里尽是暑期实习岗位的申请者(desperate appeals for summer internships),第2句表明大学生和毕业生都知道internships对他们的职业发展很重要,第3句中的critical与题干中的most essential为近义词,由此可见,本题应选C。
)2.50(分数:(2).Nick Clegg recently launched a crusade to ban ______.A.internships before employmentB.uncompensated internships √C.consensual internshipsD.internships for rich college students解析:[解析] 根据题干中的Nick Clegg、crusade等词定位到第2段4句。
(3).From Ross Perlins new book Intern Nation, we can learn that ______.(分数:2.50)petition for internships is intense √B.interns are usually looked down uponC.one third of interns work for for-profit companiesD.internships are least valued by for-profit companies解析:[解析] 根据题干中的Ross Perlin定位到第3段第1句。
本题考查对该句中highly competitive raceto the bottom of the corporate ladder的理解,the bottom of the corporate ladder字面上的意思是“职业阶梯的最底层”,此处指“实习生岗位”。
(4).What can we learn from the last paragraph?(分数:2.50)A.New labor laws will soon be enforced.B.Graduates will not have to work as an intern.C.More job vacancies will be available for graduates. √D.Working without pay will soon be banned.
