The Belt and Road Initiative is a systematic project, which should be jo
intly built through consultation to meet the interests of all, and efforts should be made to integrate the development strategies of the countrie s along the Belt and Road. The Chinese government has drafted and pu blished the Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road to promote the implementatio n of the Initiative, instill vigor and vitality into the ancient Silk Road, c onnect Asian, European and African countries more closely and promo te mutually beneficial cooperation to a new high and in new forms.
The Belt and Road 一带一路
（Action plan on the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative） When Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Central Asia and Southeast Asia in Se ptember and October of 2013, he raised the initiative of jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road (hereinafter referre d to as the Belt and Road), which have attracted close attention from all over the world. At the ChinaASEAN Expo in 2013, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang emphasize d the need to build the Maritime Silk Road oriented toward ASEAN, and to creat e strategic propellers forhinterland development. Accelerating the building of th e Belt and Road can help promote the economic prosperity of the countries alon g the Belt and Road and regional economic cooperation, strengthen exchanges a nd mutual learning between different civilizations, and promote world peace an d development. It is a great undertaking that will benefit people around the worl d.

The world economic integration is accelerating and regional cooperation i
s on the upswing. China will take full advantage of the existing bilateral an d multilateral cooperation mechanisms to push forward the building of th e Belt and Road and to promote the development of regional cooperation.
UAE:United Arab Emirates
China and the United Arab Emirates agreed on Monday to set up a
major investment cooperation fund, reportedly worth $10 billion, to benefit third parties and the two countries themselves. 中国和阿拉伯联合酋长国同意设立一个主要的投资合作基金，据说价 值100亿美元，使和两国自己和第三方受益。 .Launching the fund will play an important role in deepening bilateral, pragmatic cooperation（发挥重要作用，深化双边务实合作）
China's central bank extended a currency swap agreement with the UAE
central bank. The agreement is worth 35 billion yuan ($5.4 billion) and will last for three years 中国央行和阿联酋中央银行延长了为期3年的价值350亿元的货币交换协 议。 Allows the two sides to exchange payments in one currency for equivalent amounts in the other to facilitate bilateral trade settlements and provide liquidity support to financial markets.

Although the UAE is a small country, "China will learn a lot about

The Belt and Road Initiative is in line with the purposes and principles of t
he UN Charter. It upholds the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence: mu tual respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual n onaggression, mutual noninterference in each other's internal affairs, equ ality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.

The Belt and Road Initiative is a way for win-
win cooperation that 10 promotes common development and prosperity a nd a road toward peace and friendship by enhancing mutual understandi ng and trust, and strengthening allaround exchanges. The Chinese government advocates peace and cooperat ion, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit. It p romotes practical cooperation in all fields, and works to build a communit y of shared interests, destiny and responsibility featuring mutual political trust, economic integration and cultural inclusiveness.
