创作背景：
从1843-1848年，狄更斯几乎每年圣诞节之前都要写一篇与节日有关的短篇小说，这些短篇后来被收入《圣诞故事集》中，一共五篇：《圣诞颂歌》（1843）、《教堂钟声》（1844）、《炉边蟋蟀》（1845）、《人生的战斗》（1846）、《着魔的人》（1848）。
《圣诞颂歌》是其中最知名、流传最广的。
据说，正是《圣诞颂歌》将圣诞节引入了英国。
内容简介：
斯克鲁奇是个冷酷无情的家伙，他刻薄地对待他的雇员鲍勃，并拒绝了外甥的共度圣诞节的热情邀请。
当斯克鲁奇回家后，他见到了已故的合伙人的鬼魂，告诉他将有三个精灵来造访他。
