过去将来时

一、过去将来时的基本概述

过去将来时表示从过去某一时间来看将要发生的动作或存在的状态，常用于宾语从句中。其基本结构为“would/should＋动词原形”，would用于所有人称，should只用于第一人称。具体构成如下：

肯定句 主语＋would＋动词原形＋其他．

否定句 主语＋would not＋动词原形＋其他．

疑问句 Would＋主语＋动词原形＋其他？

被动句 主语＋would be＋动词的过去分词＋其他．

I telephoned him yesterday to ask what I would/should do next week．

我昨天给他打电话询问下周我要做什么。

She told us that she would not go with us if it rained．

她告诉我们，如果下雨的话就不和我们一起去了。

I told her that the book would be returned in a few days． 我告诉过她，书将在几天后归还。

二、过去将来时的其他表现形式

1．“was/were＋going to＋动词原形”表示根据计划或安排即将要做的事，或客观迹象表明要发生的事。

Last Sunday we were going to visit the Great Wall，but it rained．

上星期天我们本想去游览长城的，但是下雨了。

I thought it was going to rain because the sky was very dark．

我想是要下雨了，因为天色很暗。

2．“was/were＋to do”表示计划或安排将要做某事。

I felt nervous because I was soon to leave home for the first time．

我感到紧张，因为很快就要首次离开家了。

3．“was/were about to do”表示即将发生的动作，一般不与时间状语连用。

When I got there，they were about to leave．

我到那里的时候，他们正要离开。

4．某些瞬时动词的过去进行时可表示过去将来时。

He said the train was leaving at six the next morning．

他说火车第二天早上六点出发。

5．在条件状语从句和时间状语从句中常用一般过去时代替过去将来时。

I didn't know when she would come，but when she came I would let you know．

我不知道她什么时候来，但她来了我会告诉你。

[名师点津] 当would可以表示意愿或过去习惯性动作时，would应为情态动词。

It was raining hard，but nobody would stop working．

雨下得很大，但没有人愿意停止工作。

During that period，he would do morning exercise every day．

在那段时间，他每天晨练。
