the star city for its well developed entertainment industry and

tourism.There are numerous places and attractions worth

recommending, and Yuelu Mountain is the first one that I’d like

to introduce to you.Firstly, in the foot of Yuelu Mountain is the

prominent Yuelu Academy.It has an exceedingly long history and

its architecture is characteristic of Song Dynasty.Then, after a half

hour, we will reach the Bird Forest.There are various rare birds

about an hour, we will arrive at the peak, Baiyun Summit.The

今年的四级作文和往年来讲，有一个比较大的变化。今年的作文都是以图的形式，图也是比较欧美化的，都是卡通，图片不仅看起来比较可爱，也传达了比较深刻的含义。比如，四级的三篇作文，第一篇的图里右边是老师，左边是学生，图片里是说“No offense, but by

the time we're in the job market, won't that stuff be outdated?”，旁边是2*2=4，一直到到2*7=14，这道题的title是the

importance of learning basic skills。实际上，想要同学们讲，在目前的就业环境中，是社会经验更重要，还是在学习中更为基础的、理论性的、最为有根基性的basic skills更重要。所以，这道题不仅考验大家的观察能力，也是带有批判性质，类似于考研作文，具有批判性质，从不同角度都可以对这道题进行诠释。

第二道题，也是一个漫画，是父子间的对话。儿子说我有点担心能源问题，父亲则说在你做大事之前先要把小事做好。这个图给我们的启迪是在做大事之前，要把小事做好，正像这道作文的题目“the

importance of doing small things before undertaking something

big”。从这个表述中，一个是small thing，一个是something big，这是在标题中进行了一个鲜明的对比。虽然这道题是以图的形式，但是话题并不是非常新，是以传统的话题进行了图画的处理。大家都知道，千里之行始于足下，你要去做更大的事情，或者有更大的梦想，都要脚踏实地，一点点去做。所以这道题没有特别大的难点。

这次四级考试最大的亮点是另外一篇文章，图片里是两个人，左边这个人给右边的人递了一样东西，下面有一行字“Just think of it as

if you're reading a long text-message”。在图的右上方写着“literature”，所以这道题是“the importance of reading

literature”，也就是阅读文学名著的重要性。这道题的延展性或者启发是非常丰富的。文学代表的是一个国家、民族、时代的一种文化、历史、渊源。现在我们都在玩手机、游戏，却很少阅读名著。那么名著是文化的桥梁，名著更是交际的桥梁。所以这道题是非常国际化的一道题。我们既可以从中国文学的角度去诠释，比如我们要重新燃起对中国文化的兴趣和热爱，也可以从中西文化交际的角度去理解这道题，要想去与世界接轨，要想融入到世界的大熔炉中，除了学好英语外，英语中最根基的东西是文化，而文化则体现在文学中。所以，今年四级作文中最大的亮点就是这道题“the importance of reading

literature”。恰好我在北京人民广播电台主持文学名著的赏析节目，平常在课堂中也会教大家很多文学名著中的经典片段。有时候我们会发现，单纯地学习英语实际上是缺乏人文主义思想的，但是在英语中去添加了、捕捉了文学、文化的元素，英语就会变得更有生命力。因此这道题大家对于文学有一定了解，或者知道了文学对于我们的生活、国家、时代有一种进步，或者荡涤我们的心灵，实际上这道题可以诠释的角度是非常丰富的。
