Unit 5 What can we learn from others?
【教学目标】
1.By the end of the lesson the students will be able to
pronounce, know the meanings of the key words in the context
of “The happy farmer and his wife”.
2.By the end of the lesson the students will be able to get
the main meaning and read fluently. 【教学重难点】
主要重点是词汇教学。考虑到本课单词比较多,在对词汇进行处理的过程中,我不集中一次教授,而是随着课堂教学的进展,分批处理,在不同环节中采用灵活多样的教学方法引入并且教授。难点是培养学生在各种语境中学习、理解和运用词汇的能力及提高学生的阅读技能,最终能流利朗读课文。

2.Watch a cartoon
Ss: Watch a video and learn the new word. (fairy)
Arouse Sts’interest and help them learn the key word.

hard-working, comfortable, forever, gold coins)

We’ve talked about snails(蜗牛)and their slow move. But much of the time
snails don’t move at all. They’re in their shells----sleeping.
Hot sun will dry out a snail’s body. So on a hot sunny day, a snail draws its body
into its shell and closes the opening with a thin cover. Then it goes to sleep. A
snail will die in a heavy rain. So whenever it rains, it goes inside its shell house
and goes to sleep. A snail can sleep for as long as it needs to. It can take a
short sleep, or it can sleep for days at a time. And it spends all the winter months
in its shell sleeping.
In spring the snail wakes up. Its body, about three inches long, comes out from
the shell. When hungry the snail looks for food. It can’t see very well. Its eyes
at the end of the top feelers(触角), are very weak. But its sense of smell is

he invited three men who owed him money to his house. He announeed that if
they promised to repay him in their next lives, he would reduce the amount they
owed by half.
One man said he would come back as a horse so he could work exceedingly(非常)hard for Mr Wang. Mr Wang agreed and let him go. A second man said
he would return as a cow so he could provide plenty of milk. Mr Wang agreed
and let him go as well.
The third man, who owed the most,said he would be reborn as Mr Wang’s father.
Mr Wang was furious. This man owed him a lot of money, and yet he was being
very rude. Mr Wang was about to throw him out of his house when then man
began to explain. He said, “If I returned as your father, then I could save all my

4. 现在完成时
A. 定义:现在完成时表示到说话时为止(或到现在为止)已经发生或完成了(不一定结束)的动作或状态。
B. 时间状语:[already, yet, just.]
[ever, never]
[since +过去时间 since 2 years ago, for+一段时间: for two years ]
C. 构成:have/has + done(特例: begin,borrow, buy, die, join, leave)
D. 用法:肯定句:I have already finished my homework.
否定句:I haven’t finished my homework yet.
疑问句:Have you finished your homework yet
