Unit Six Shopping

单 元 教 材 分 析

本单元学习的主题是购物,主情景图通过Sarah和妈妈在服装店购物的情景呈现

本单元要学习的核心词汇和句型。

单元内容分为A、B、C三部分。A部分主要呈现基础知识,教材通过John 在服装店购物的情景呈现了单词的词形和意义。主要学习词汇sunglasses, gloves, scarf,

umbrella. 等物品名称的词。以及句型Can I help you? Can I try… on? Size…, please.

能够在情景中运用句型These… are nice. They’re too….描述物品。

B部分主要是能够能用所学单词描述商品的品质和价格。主要学习词汇 nice,

pretty, cheap, expensive. C部分是拓展了解部分,它以不同的形式将A、B两部分的内容巧妙地联系起来,使学生的语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等素养整体发展和提升。Let’s spell为语音学习,让学生感知并归纳er, ir, al, or, ur, ar,

-le在单词中的发音规则,能够读出符合以上字母组合的发音规则的单词,并能够根据单词读音拼写出符合上述发音规则的单词。

本单元的教学重点是学习物品名称的词和描述物品的形容词;教学难点是学生学

会询问及表达购物的有关句型,学习如何与售货员进行交谈等。在设计本单元教学活动时,教师要充分考虑到四年级学生的学习特点及智力水平和生活经验,教学中要通过模拟真实的情景、灵活多样的教学活动、突出教学重点、突破教学难点,让学生易学、易接受。

一、知识目标

A. 四会(听、说、读,写)掌握的单词有:glove, scarf, umbrella, sunglass, nice, pretty,

expensive, cheap等。

B. 四会(听、说、读,写)掌握的句子有:Can I help you? Yes. These shoes are nice.

Can I try them on? Size 6, please. They’re too small. How do you like this skirt?

It’s very pretty. How much is this skirt? It’s $89.

C. 复习er, ir, al, or, ur, ar, -le的发音规则。

二、能力目标

A. 能够在情景中运用句型 Can I help you? Yes. These shoes are nice. Can I try…

on? Size…, please. 请求试穿某件衣物并告知尺码。

B. 能够在情景中运用句型How much is…? It’s….问答某商品价格。

C. 能够按意群朗读促销广告中的句子,书写句型:They’re very/too…. 能够在意义

的语境中仿写句子They’re very/too….

D. 能够正确使用本单元单词介绍衣着并描述价格。

E. 复习er, ir, al, or, ur, ar, -le的发音规则, 能够读出符合有关这些字母组合发音规则的单词并能根据读音规则写出符合有发音规则的单词。

三、情感目标、文化意识、学习策略

A.能以得体的方式与人进行购物交流。

B. 了解衣服大、中、小号的英文表达以及主要英语国家的货币名称及符号。

Teaching procedures

Step 1 Warming up & Revision

1. Greet the class.

2. Let’s enjoy the sing This is the way.

3. Present some pictures to review the clothes.

Step 2 Presentation & Practice

1. Present a picture or show the objects and say something to the

children. Ask some questions. e.g.What’s the weather like? /What

do you need?/ What’s this/that/it? What are these/those/they?

Elicit the new words umbrella/sunglasses/gloves/scarf. Then

have the Ss listen and repeat the words.

2. Read the words. The Ss point to the corresponding picture.

3. Check accuracy of pronunciation, beginning with large groups to

build confidence. Note the pronunciation of scarf /g/ not /k/.

4. Ask individuals to say the words. Correct any pronunciation mis-

takes.

5. Work in pairs, the Ss take turn to point to the pictures and say

the words.

6. Show objects or point to the pictures and make dialogues with Ss

like this.

T: Can I help you?

S: These gloves are nice. Can I try them on?

T: Sure. Here you are.

7. Present more pictures. Lead Ss to practice the dialogues.

8. Present the picture (P59) and introduce it.

9. Watch the video and Listen and repeat the dialogue.

10. Act out the dialogue in a small group of two. Remind them to do

the corresponding gesture.

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension

1. Create situations to drill the sentence structures.

T: Can I help you? Ss: Yes, please. I want a ….

T: What size? Ss: Can I try …, please?

T: Of course. Here you are. Ss: How much is it?

T: It’s… yuan. / It’s… dollar(s). S: Ok. I’ll take it.

2. Complete and say.

A. Present pictures. Have Ss to review the vocabulary. Read one

by one.

B. Get the Ss to know different weather different clothes.

C. Point to a picture. Make a sentence by using the structures It’s

hot, so I put on my T-shirt./It’s hot, so I take off my sweater.

D. Take turns to make sentences.

3. Do some exercises.

A. Choose and write.

B. Fill in the blanks.

Step 4 Summary & Homework

1. Check the difficulties. (words and sentences)

2. Do homework.

A. Recite the words and sentences.

B. Draw and say by using the structures It’s…. so I put on my….
