[重点用法]

fancy that…以为是……fancy (sb’s) doing…想像(某人)做某事

fancy oneself自负;自命不凡fancy sb. to be / as想象/认为某人会成为……

I can’t fancy his doing such a thing. 我想不到他会做这种事。

He fancies himself as a good writer. 他认为自己是好作家。

belong to 属于Who does this watch belong to?这块表是谁的?

用法点拨:belong to不用于进行时态和被动语态中。to 为介词,其后接代词,名词类短语及从句,表示所归属

的对象。

furniture 是“家具”的总称,前不加冠词a,也不用复数。用much ,little 修饰。

doubt n. 怀疑;疑惑vt.怀疑;不信

I don’t doubt that he is honest. 我不怀疑他是诚实的。

We doubt if he is honest. 我们怀疑他是否诚实。

用法点拨:

doubt作为名词,如果表达“困惑”的事情,用作可数名词;如果表达“在某事上的困惑,”一般用作不可数名词。作为动词,在否定句和疑问句中,后接that引导的从句;在肯定句中,后接whether/if引导的从句。

I never doubt that he will come. 我从未怀疑他会来。
