1.In this much-travelled world,there are still thousands of places which are inaccessible to tourists.在这个旅游频繁的世界中,仍有成千上万个游人足迹未至的地方。
be inaccessible to…达不到。
例:
Heavy snow made the mountain village inaccessible to traffic.大雪使车辆进不了这个小山村。
That man was inaccessible to pity.那个汉子没有恻隐之心。
much-travelled是由程度副词much与过去分词构成的复合形容词,用作定语,表示“富有旅行经验的,旅游多的”。
2.We always assume that villagers in remote places are friendly and hospitable.人们总是以为偏僻地方的村民们热情好客。
hospitable热情友好的;(环境)舒适的。
常用词组be hospitable to,表示“周到的;(环境)适合的;易于接受…”例:
