学位证书，又称学位证，是为了证明学生专业知识和技术水平而授予的证书，在我国学位证授予资格单位为通过教育部认可的高等院校或科学研究机构。获得学位意味着被授予者的受教育程度和学术水平达到规定的学术称号要求， 经在高等学校或科学研究部门学习和研究，成绩达到有关规定，由有关部门授与并得到国家社会承认的专业知识学习资历。目前我国学位分为三类：学士学位，硕士学位，博士学位。其中，学士学位里还包括第二学士学位，统称学士学位。

学位证英文版有什么用？

1、申请留学的证明材料，作为国内院校颁发的证明学生学术水平的资格证书，学位证以及英文翻译件是留学申请中必须提交的证明材料之一。

2、国外院校毕业后会授予学生学位证书，留学归国人员持国（境）外学位证书在国内创业时，可以凭个人学历证明享受创业补贴，办理人才落户，国（境）外学位证书也是必须提交的证明材料之一，并需要同步提交有资质的翻译公司出具的中文翻译件。

3、申请海外移民或办理移民签证。拥有高等院校的学位证书是证明申请人拥有一定的专业知识技能最好的证明文件，国外移民管理局更青睐有专业知识技能的移民申请者，提交学位证书可以增大过签概率。

学位证翻译件有哪些特点：

1、学位证作为学校颁发给学生，证明被颁发者学术成就的文件具有一定的权威性。在翻译过程中翻译件内容必须与原件保持完全一致，不允许出现错译漏译现象。

2、国内学位证书自2016年1月1日起由各学位授予单位自行设计印制，不再由国务院学位委员会办公室统一印制，因此2016年以后的学位证书可以说拥有各自学校的设计特色，因此学位证在翻译过程中应尽量要保留原件的格式排版，涉及学院徽章、印章、签字等关键信息的还应截图予以保留，并附翻译说明，保证翻译件整体美观大方。

3、学位证翻译件不允许个人翻译，办理留学申请提交给国外院校的学位证翻译件，必须是由有资质的正规翻译公司出具的加盖翻译专用章的翻译件；或者是申请人就读院校加盖教务处公章的翻译件。
