Ladies and gentlemen,

Good afternoon. It is an honor for me to be here today to

talk to you about pursuing your dreams.

As human beings, we all have dreams. Some dream of

becoming a doctor, some dream of becoming an actor, and some

dream of becoming an astronaut. But the most important thing is

not the dream itself - it is the pursuit of that dream. While it is

easy to dream of success, it is the hard work and dedication we

put into realizing that dream that truly matters.

The journey to fulfilling our dream is not always easy. We

might face obstacles, setbacks, or even failure. But it is how we

respond to these challenges that defines us. Do we give up and

abandon our dreams, or do we learn from our mistakes and keep

pushing forward? The latter attitude is what sets apart the

successful from the unsuccessful.

Take the example of Michael Jordan, widely regarded as one

of the greatest basketball players of all time. Before reaching his

superstar status, Jordan was cut from his high school basketball

team. Rather than giving up, he worked hard to improve his skills

and eventually became a star athlete. Similarly, J.K. Rowling was rejected by multiple publishers

before finding success with the Harry Potter series. Despite the

setbacks, she did not give up on her dream of becoming a writer.

These stories prove that success is not about being born with

innate talent, but about the hard work and dedication we put into

achieving our goals. We must never stop pursuing our dreams,

even when faced with obstacles.

However, it is also important to note that the pursuit of our

dreams should not be at the expense of others. We must strive to

pursue our dreams ethically and with empathy. Success gained

through dishonest means or at the expense of others is not true

success.

In conclusion, pursuing our dreams is a journey that requires

hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We must learn to

overcome setbacks and continue pushing forward in order to

achieve success. But we must also remember to pursue our

dreams ethically and with empathy. I encourage all of you to

never give up on your dreams and to continue pursuing them with

passion and determination.

梦想a：我想吃顿白米饭

童年时，我最大的梦想就是盼望着能饱吃一顿没有任何掺杂物的米饭。这对于今人来说，会觉得荒唐可笑。然而，在上世纪60年代中，自然灾害频发、粮食歉收、国家又面临着内外债务所逼的困境。在这种情况下，老百姓勒紧裤带，在饥荒线上挣扎，全国不知有多少人因患“浮肿病”而夺走生命。当时，笔者10岁刚出头，正是长身体和顽皮好动的年龄档，对于仅有的些许粮食，如杯水车薪，又好比虎舔蚂蚁。因此，杂粮米糠、草根树皮都成了我的主食，成了稀粥的“伴侣”。山坡地坎中，除了毒草不吃，其余的我都尝过，可谓遍尝百草，只可惜没编写出《本草纲目》的续集来。

说真的，我是多么地渴望能吃饱一顿白米饭，哪怕纯白粥也行！就是这小小的梦想，对于掌管家庭口粮的主妇们来说，简直是奢侈，因为在她们的“小九九”里，掐指盘算着日后的每一餐、每一天„„在当时，这并非我一个小孩的梦想，也不是一家人、一个村的梦想，而是全国老百姓共同的梦呀！说其梦小？不！俗话说：“民以食为天，国以粮为首。”可不是吗？为圆吃饭梦，多少人为之努力，为之付出呀。那时，我的小脑袋常想：要是有一天，我能当上国家领导人或者是一名农业科学家，我一定要使全国的老百姓吃饱白米饭，一天也不挨饿„„

童年的那个梦有点酸，有点涩，然而它只是一晃而过。因为全党同志在正确引领着，人民在奋斗拼搏着。

梦想b：我要当个好老师

我只读了小学六年书，就辍学回家务农。那时，我常梦想着当一名小学老师，站在讲台前给学生上课、讲故事等，那该有多荣光呀。机遇来了，随着农民生活的逐年好转，对知识的企盼也越显迫切，要求读书的人越来越多，村里不仅有小学、初中，还办起了所谓的高中班，这样老师就不够了。那一年我有幸被招进民办教师的行列，开始走上讲台，为学生们上课。慢慢地我觉得不满足了，“民师”与公立老师有着相当的距离，包括知识上的，教学能力中的。当老师是我的梦，当一个正规学校毕业的合格公立老师，无疑就是这个梦的拓展与提升，演讲稿《我的梦：梦想演讲稿》。两年后，教育开始步入正常轨道。继而，随着国家高考、中考制度的恢复，我梦寐以求的那扇“门”终于开了，民办教师也可报考师范学校了。梦可以提升了，当然高兴，但圆梦还需努力。于是，我边教书，边复习；边自学，边请教。挑灯夜读，苦心钻研，我认为学历低不是理由，只要有恒心，显毅力，世上没有办不成的事。“恒心筑起通天路”，结果我以全区最高分考入了师范学校。那年，我33岁。
