Step 1 Presentation

1、Do you remember Millie, Sandy , Simon, and Daniel? Who likes

sports?(Simon)

What about Amy? What sport is Amy good at?

(She is good at swimming)

2、Show volleyball and tennis

Look at the balls in my hand. What is this big one? It is a volleyball.

What about this small one? It is a tennis ball.(Write the words on the

blackboard)

3、Can you play volleyball? Do you like volleyball? Are you good at

playing tennis? Do you enjoy playing tennis?

Step2 Practice

1、Sports are very interesting. Students like sports very much. Please

look at the pictures in Part A. Do you know what sports they like?

2、Communication

T: Do you like playing volleyball? Are you good at playing football?

Do you enjoy swimming? What sports do you like\love\enjoy? What

sports are you good at?

3、Work in pairs

Do you like sports? Let’s know what sports your friends like.

Step3 Presentation

1、It’s very hot today. Do you think so? What’s your favourite sport in

summer?(My favourite sport is swimming.)That’s a good idea. I like

swimming too. Let’ go swimming this weekend. (Write down “go

swimming”)

2、Amy and Simon like sports very much. Now, they are talking about

sports. Listen to the tape and tell me when Amy goes swimming. (Every

week)

3、Read after the tape.

1、Do you know what’s your favourite sport is? Please work in groups

of four.

2、Act out.

Step5 Presentation

1、Sports are good for us. But sometimes we are very busy and have no

time. I think walking is also good. I like walking and I walk in the park

many times a week. (Write down walking and time)

If you have time, you can walk many times a day. Do you like walking?

Do you often walk to school? Oh, really?

2、Show a picture

Look, what’s in Hobo’s hand? He has a football in his hand. I think he

likes football very much. D o you think so? But what about Eddie?

What is his favourite sport?

3、Now let’s listen to the tape and answer the questions: What sport

does Eddie like? Does Eddie really like walking?

Step6 Practice

1、Please listen to the tape and follow in chorus. Pay attention to the

pronunciation and intonation.

2、These two teams read Eddie’ part.And these two read Hobo’s part,

please.

Step7: Show time

1、Work in pairs and read the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo. You

can add your own ideas.

2、Let’s dub this comic.
