Module 6 Unit 1 Do you collect anything?

Teaching aims:

1. Be able to learn and master the new words.

2. To make use of the key phrases correctly

Important point: to master the key phrases

Difficult point: develop interests to write “hobby”

Step 1 Warm up (Guessing game)

1. Show the pictures and let students guess “What’s the hobby?”

2. Pay attention to the sentence expression

Eg: My hobby is singing.= Singing is my hobby.

My hobbies are singing and dancing.= Singing and dancing are my hobbies.

Step 2 Study new words

1. learn the new words with the pictures

2. Pay attention to the phrases

3. Read the new words follow me twice

4. Give them several minutes to recite new words

Step 3 Exercise

1. To check students’ memory of new words

2. Ask them to think about making use of the new words correctly.

Step 4 Listen

1. Find out who collects the things in the pictures

2. Listen and answer the questions:

教材分析

语言功能：能够谈论现在和过去所具备和不具备的能力。

通过学习Helen Keller这位世界上著名身残志坚有志之人的优秀事迹，让学生学有所得，学有所悟，希望她的精神能激励和教育我们的学生在任何时候遇到艰难永不退缩。

教学重、难点：

重点：学生能够用“could，couldn‟t”来描述过去所具备和不具备的能力。

难点：学生能够流利地使用正确时态来描述自己的能力，能够复述Helen Keller的伟大事迹。

学生分析

在六年级学段，大部分学生对英语的学习积极性浓厚，基础知识扎实，学习方法得当，综合运用能力的能力较强；有少部分学生还是没有找到合适的方法，学英语仍旧吃力，针对此种情况，教师应充满耐心，精心备课，在教学中多鼓励他们，帮助他们建立学好英语的自信心。

设计理念

在六年级下学期这一阶段，教学内容主要是复习巩固以前学过的内容和继续扩展学习新的内容。本册的主线是继续和Daming一起了解美国，了解Daming回到中国之后为小学毕业、升入中学学习做的准备。这一学段学生对语言的综合运用能力需要进一步提高，为此，我们在课堂上应尽可能多地运用我们以前学习过的语言，坚持听说训练，同时进行相应的读写训练。

教学模式介绍

探究式教学模式是指在教学过程中，要求学生在教师指导下，通过以“自主、探究、合作”为特征的学习方式对当前教学内容中的主要知识点进行自主学习、深入探究并进行小组合作交流，从而较好地达到课程标准中关于认知目标与情感目标要求的一种教学模式。其中认知目标涉及与学科相关知识、概念、原理与能力的掌握；情感目标则涉及思想感情与道德品质的培养。

探究式课堂教学模式的教学环节：

创设情境——启发思考——自主（或小组）探究——协作交流——总结提高

设计思路说明

【创设情境】

师生问好，让学生猜猜老师的爱好，通过向学生展示一本老师个人收藏的集邮册导入本课的主题。通过简单实物展示的导入，激发学生兴趣，让学生对话题进行感知。

【启发思考】

通过课题的朗读直接导入本课的主题，借助标题中的问题“Do you collect anything? ”进行话题的拓展。同时让学生们对自己的个人爱好进行描述，并结合真实的物品或幻灯片学习本课新的词汇。

【自主或小组探究】

首先是听力练习。通过第一次听，让学生匹配图片，了解对话基本信息，辨别Tony 一家三口的不同爱好。第二遍听，引导学生回答课本中的问题，加强学生对听力内容的理解和口语练习。最后让学生三人小组分角色朗读课文，在练习过程中互相帮助，取长补短，为下一个环节的语言输出活动打好了基础。

【协作交流】

创设情境，校学生会组织了一次关于学生爱好的问卷调查。请你采访班级同学，对他们的爱好进行一个调查，并且向全班报告。

【总结提高】

首先借助思维导图的帮助和提示，让学生对对话中人物的爱好进行复述，梳理文本信息
