并列句和状语从句语法填空的答题技巧

1．完整的句子中，如果两个单词或短语并列，要填并列连词；

2．若两个句子(两个主谓结构)之间没有句号或分号，也没有连词，空格处必定填连词；

3．牢记特殊句式中连词的运用；

4．全面掌握九大状语从句的连接词，熟悉它们的用法；

5．准确判断主从句的逻辑关系，同时要注意区分易混词：如果主从句是因果关系，则要考虑用because/as/since；如果主从句有时间先后之分，则要考虑用时间状语从句的连词；如果从句为主句的条件，则要考虑用if；如果从句表示让步，则要考虑用although或though或while；如果有that，则要考虑用so和such。

固定句型

1．both...and...，neither...nor...，not only...but also...

2. either...or...，not...but...

3．表因果关系：so，for(表“由于”，一般不放在句首)

4．when“就在这时，突然”，常用以下句式

·sb.be about to do/on the point of doing sth.when...某人正要做某事，突然……

·sb.be doing sth.when...某人正在做某事，突然……

·sb.had done sth.when...某人刚做完某事，突然……

5．and与or/otherwise用于并列句

·祈使句＋and＋陈述句(and表示顺承关系)

·祈使句＋or/otherwise＋陈述句(or/otherwise表示转折关系)

6．在hardly/scarcely ... when/before ...和no sooner ... than ...结构中，主句用过去完成时，than,

before或when所在的从句用一般过去时。

[特别注意] 在hardly/scarcely ... when/before ..., no sooner ... than ...结构中，当hardly, scarcely或no sooner位于句首时，主句要用部分倒装。

They had hardly reached Edinburgh when they were ordered to return to London.

2 ＝Hardly had they reached Edinburgh when they were ordered to return to London.

他们刚抵达爱丁堡就接到了回伦敦的命令。

7．before引导的时间状语从句

(1)“It will be/was＋时间段＋before从句”表示“在……之前还要多久/过了多久才……”。

(2)“It won't be/wasn't＋时间段＋before从句”表示“过不了多久就……/没过多久就……”。

8．“It is/has been＋时间段＋since从句(常用一般过去时)”

9．Whether ... or(not) ...表示“不论……还是……”，提供两种对比情况。

so ... that ...与such ... that ...引导结果状语从句的结构形式为：

 so＋形容词/副词＋that从句so＋形容词＋a/an＋可数名词单数＋that从句so＋many/much/few/little 少＋名词＋that从句such＋a/an＋形容词＋可数名词单数＋that从句such＋形容词＋可数名词复数/不可数名词＋that从句such＋a lot of/lots of＋名词＋that从句

He is so experienced a worker that we all believe him.

＝He is such an experienced worker that we all believe him.

他是一位很有经验的工人，我们都信任他。

[特别注意] (1)在so ... that ...和such ... that ...结构中，当“so＋adj./adv.”或“such＋n.”置于句首时，主句要部分倒装。

So fast did he run that I couldn't catch him.

他跑得那么快，我抓不住他。

(2)除结果状语从句外，too ... to ..., ... enough to ..., so ... as to ..., such ... as to ...等不定式结构同样可以表示结果。

He got up too late to catch the first train.

＝He didn't get up early enough to catch the first train.

＝He got up so late as to miss the first train.

他起床太晚了以至于没赶上第一班火车。

例句：

One Friday，we were packing to leave for a weekend away when my daughter heard cries for

help.

第一部分:基础知识

（一）．定语从句概述

定语可以由形容词，代词，数词，名词，不定式，介词短语来充当。如果是一个句子担任定语，那么这个句子就叫做定语从句，又可称为形容词性从句。

定语从句通常修饰某一名词或代词，被定语从句修饰的这一名词或代词叫先行词，它位于定语从句之前，定语从句在先行词后面，应尽量紧跟先行词。定语从句的作用即在于对先行词进行限定说明或补充说明。

（二）．定语从句的引导词。

定语从句的引导词分为两类，关系代词（that, which, who, whom, whose ）和关系副词（ when, where, why ），引导词在先行词和定语从句之间，既起连接作用，即连接先行词和定语从句，更重要的是，它又在定语从句中作一个成分。

（三）．关系代词

1. that 指人，物，在从句中作主语，宾语，表语。

This is the photo that I took in the country.

He is the singer that I met yesterday.

2. which 指物，在从句中作主语，宾语，在非限定定语从句中充当定语，或者代替前句

The film which we saw last night was moving.

3. who 指人，在从句中作主语，宾语。

The person who visited our classroom yesterday was our new headmaster.

The man who you just talked to is Tom.

4. whom 指人，在从句中作宾语。

5. whose 指人，物，在从句中作定语，相当于先行词+ ’s, 后接一名词。
