非限制性定语从句
1. 有“，” 2. 不用that 3. which可代指整个主句
在非限制性定语从句中，指人的关系代词作宾语 时，只能用宾格whom; 不能用who替换，也不能省 略。
Do you know Tom, whom we talked about? 你认识汤姆吗? 我们谈到过他。

定语从句的考查要点 1.功能：相当于形容词，修饰名词或代词，在句中作定语。

2． “介词 + 关系代词”引导的定语从句中关系代词不能 省略，但介词后置时限制性定语从句中的关系代词可以省。

6．whose作关系词既指人又指物，在从句中作定语。 o you know Mr. Smith whose story is very moving? There is a room，whose window faces the river.

5．the way 后面定语从句的关系词 在定语从句中，the way 是一个比较特殊的先行词， 当它在从句中充当方式状语时，其后的关系词可以是 which，that in
或省略关系词；但是当它在从句中充当主
语、宾语等成分时，其后的关系词就用 that 或 which。 The way that/which I thought of to solve this problem proves to be practical.(先行词作宾语) I don't like the way(that/in which)you solve the problem.(先行词作方式状语)
4．关系副词 when，where，why 的先行词是表示时 间、地点或理由的名词，在从句中作状语。 The girl arranged to have piano lessons at the training centre with her sister where she would stay for an hour. The reason why I don't trust him is that he often tells lies.
易错提示：先行词是时间名词或地点名词时，如果在 从句中不作状语，则不能用 when 或 where 引导定语从 句，而要用 which/that。 Remember that there is still one point which we must make clear at the conference tomorrow. She's in a hopeless situation, where we will keep a very close eye on her.
