My Father

If someone asks me who affects me most in my life, I will definitely tell him or her that the

person should be no one else but my father. As a matter of fact, I have been much affected by

father's humor, kindness, enterprise, strong will ever since I was a little girl.

Father is well-known for his humor. He always makes use of his wit and humor to relax tense

situation at work. He is m humorous that his colleagues and friends all enjoy staying with him. He

also uses humor to create a very happy family atmosphere. My mother tends to chatter over little

things. Sometimes she talks angrily without any pause. When this happens, father just listens to

her without a word. Why don't you say a word, man?, mother is more angry at father. At

this time father would give a cup of tea to mother, then replies: Why not have tea first, my dear?

Just take your time to enjoy it. I'm always your attentive listener. Hearing these words,

mother stops talking with her anger gone at once. Such funny scenes often appear between

father and mother which makes our family life happy and interesting.

Good afternoon. Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today I will say something about my family love.

I remember when I was younger. My family lived a simple life. We weren't wealthy by

any stretch of the imagination, but we were content with what we had.

Our first vehicle was an old broken-down bicycle. It provided us with transportation on many

enjoyable weekends and holidays. Mom sat on the back while Dad pedaled. I, a mere toddler at

the time, rode on the bar in front of him. It didn't matter where we were going as long as

we were going there together.

Not long after that, my family moved to Hainan. Relying on my parents, courage and

persistence, they started their own business. As a result, we were soon able to replace the bike

with a new car. So we could travel further on our excursions. Our family's happy laughter

filled the car as we traveled to many distant locations in China. Many years have gone by since

those happy days, but we're still as close as ever.

Recently, the airplane has become our mode of transportation as we venture beyond the

confines of China to see the world. We were able to experience firsthand the uniqueness of

Amsterdam, the romance of Paris, and the elegance of Vienna. But yet, such fantastic sites were

nothing compared to the love of our family.

Time goes by swiftly, and everything is changing all the time.Yet the love existing in my

family always remains. It is the source of our happiness; It,s the source of all of our ideals:

confidence, courage, and faith. But it goes so much deeper than that; it warms our very hearts.

So I will acclaim for the eternal and awesome love in my family and let it go on forever!

I am Erica. I would like to tell you my own story.

During the National Day my family went out for dinner. We went downstairs by lift, but after

1 minute the lift stopped suddenly, so we were trapped in it.

“I am scared, Mum!” I shouted, and my younger sister also cried. Dad called 110 for help.

The policewoman was very kind and said “take it easy, the firefighter will come in 10 minutes.”

At the same time Mum let me sing a song with my sister. And we felt better while singing

the ABC song.

Five minutes later, the door was opened by the firefighter.

“Dad, look! firefighters!” I shouted excitedly.

“Don’t worry, you are safe now.” the firefighter said to me like a hero. The firefighter saved

us and I was deeply touched.

Now I want to be a hero, because I want to help more people!

senator sasser, our ambassador; the national security advisor and my chief of staff, among others.

i say that to illustrate the importance that the united states places on our relationship with

china.

i would like to begin by congratulating all of you, the students, the faculty, the

administrators, on celebrating the centennial year of your university.
