He was working as a sailor on a cargo ship and they made a stop in Singapore. Grandpa said it was a total assault on the senses in the best way possible.While docked in Singapore, he and some crew mates went exploring the city. They wandered into this minds-blowing Hindu temple covered in brightly colored statues of multi-armed deities and demons.
