一、教材分析
1.教材内容及地位作用
本节课是第四单元Section A的第一课时,也是本单元的重点。教材内容围绕“What would you do if you had a million dollars?”展开话题,让学生学会利用虚拟语气谈论假设的情景,充分发挥学生的想象力,以形成乐观开朗的性格,并培养他们正确的人生观和价值观。
2.教学目标
知识目标:掌握虚拟条件句的基本结构。
能力目标:能够运用虚拟语气来谈论各种假设的情景,达到运用英语交际的能力。
情感目标:培养学生正确的人生观和价值观,并形成乐观开朗的性格。
3.教学重、难点
掌握虚拟条件句的基本结构,并能够运用虚拟语气来谈论各种假设的情景。
二、学情分析
九年级学生已具备了一定词汇量,并且在八年级就已经掌握了if引导的真实条件句,加上学生都有一双充满幻想的翅膀,本节课的内容恰好符合学生的这一特点,他们应该会对本节课感兴趣。

四、教学程序
1.引入新课
由于教学内容是围绕“a million dollars”展开话题,于是上课时,我对同学们说昨天晚上我做了一个梦,梦见我有一百万美元,有了这么多钱,我将去旅游,„ 接着我问同学们如果你们有了这么多钱,你们会干什么?
2.听说练习,感受新知
教师因势利导,提出这样一个问题“If you were in a lion’s cage , what would you do ?”让学生分成四人小组讨论,学生可以畅所欲言,把自己的想法与小组内其他成员共同分享,然后与全班同学分享,同时教师给予适当指导,让学生学着使用“If I were „,I
would „ 或者 If I had „,I would „”的句型,这样既促进了学生之间的交流,又促进了学生主动加入到学习过程中来。老师再作小结,以便引导学生形成正确的人生观和价值观,培养他们关爱别人的意识。
