Let all of them take part in the discussion.Step 2. Work in pairs. Think about your family and friends. What makes you happy in the way they communicate with others? Talk about it.Step 3. Read the text and tell the main idea of the text in the students' own words.Let the stude nts sp eak in front of the class. Encourage them not to be shy when they stand there. Give the students chances to speak loudly in front of the class.Step 4. Encourage the students to ask more questions about this part. Divide the class into groups of three or four to finish the task. Ask all of the students to take part in the discussion.Step 5 Listen and answer1. Play the audiotape and ask the students to listen carefully.2. Pick some students out to answer the questions. Unit 1 Our winter holiday一、教学目标：1、能听、说、认读和拼写短语visited the Great Wall，went to The zoo、did homework、played football，had a party、read a book、sang and danced、ate and drank、wrote emails.2、能通过与他人合作学习，在交流中使用句型：How was your winter holiday? What did you do last Sunday? What do you usually do?并使用本单元相应的短语作答。
3、通过观察合作交流，感知、理解一般过去时和一般现在时动词的变化和用法。

）2、Recalling:教师出示PPT，展示寒假中自己所做的事情并呈现相关的短语。
