Even though the show was full of fantasy elements like demons and ghosts, Ren Jialun made his character feel really believable and relatable.In the show, Wei Wuxian had gone through a lot of difficult experiences and had been wrongly accused of terrible things. But he never gave up and kept fighting for what was right. I admired his bravery and determination. I also saw an interview where he talked about doing lots of research into the time periods and cultures his characters are from so he can better understand their mindsets and motivations.You can tell he really cares about giving an authentic, nuanced performance.In addition to being an incredible actor, Ren Jialun seems like a really nice person in real life too.
